      Quaint but Cold.

Left on 01/19/2013 for a stay in December 2012

This Bernal Heights apartment is perfectly located and the service of the Boutika reps was really great. Our problem was that the apartment was very cold. We arrived at a particularly rainy time and there is no central heating in the house so they had one little electric space heater and another even smaller one for the bathroom but it wasn't enough to warm the house. We were staying for Christmas time and spent time actually at the apartment so the lack of heat was a problem and made the stay somewhat uncomfortable. The Boutika reps were very accommodating when we called about this issue and offered to bring another heater. They electricity went out, probably from the use of the space heaters and again the reps were helpful in stopping by and helping us find the fuse box. The only other issue was that the rain had made the back door swell so that we couldn't open it and therefore could not access the garage to do our laundry. This defeated the purpose of renting a place with washer and dryer. We were refunded a bit for this inconvenience which is appreciated. Overall, a very clean, cute and comfortable place to stay with street parking. I'm sure in warmer months it's perfect.

Bernal Heights, two doors off Cortland

Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012

This is a completely renovated lower unit in a duplex. Nice modern finishes throughout, with lots of local artwork on the walls, new appliances and granite in the kitchen. Nice little back yard when weather permits. Everything was spotless when we arrived. The transaction was effortless, all on the internet or phone. Cortland is the main commercial corridor and has some great restaurants (Liberty Cafe our favorite), the local grocery has everything, and there is a big farmers market down the street on Saturdays that transforms into a flee market on Sundays. The location was perfect for our purposes with family two blocks away.

      Bernal Heights Urban Retreat

Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The Bernal Heights place was the perfect place for our trip to San Francisco. Located in the quiet Bernal Heights downtown, just steps away from coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery shop and other quaint shops. Parking was never a problem. We were able to park on the same block every day. The place is spacious, beautifully decorated with exquisite taste, carefully chosen pieces and equipped with all the daily needed utensils. I highly recommend this place for your stay in San Francisco.

sick 5 year old so we spent a lot of time there!

Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This place was a good fit for us...just big enough, a bit of protected outdoor space with a nice hammock too. The pics do not do it justice at all. The amenities were all top notch, very classy and so many cute little details. They didn't skimp just because it is a rental property. One thing I would comment on though is that there were several notes about keeping the noise down in respect of the upstairs neighbors, which we did, however they were so loud it was quite distracting. Lots of banging around. Not during quiet hours but just all day. Maybe it was a special project or something, don't know.

Service was great, totally easy to book and get in. Good price. Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed. Good directions for using the entertainment center. Pretty flowers left for us. Great porch. Thank you!

      Bernal Heights Oasis!

Left on 05/10/2012 for a stay in February 2012

I had a wonderful time during my stay in Bernal Heights, and this adorable apartment really helped make the stay memorable! The location is key, tasty destination restaurants at you doorstep, we enjoyed Mokis Sushi, Pequeos and the Mexican restaurant to name a few. I stayed here with my mother and 18month old daughter and the location was ideal for a family as well. Parks, library etc. all on Cortland. The apartment has a great little outdoor area and laundry on site which helped greatly. I commuted downtown daily on the bus/bart and found the commute very easy, 40 min door to door. We also easily walked to Misson st and Noe Valley. I would stay here again for sure if the opportunity arose!

      Hidden Gem in Bernal Heights

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in September 2011

This place is such a gem! It is nestled right in the heart of one of the best walking neighborhoods in San Francisco, filled with sunlight and art. I came here for work in September ( a decorating job) and was so pleasantly surprised by the decor and the general vibe of the place! It feels like a chic little apartment with great touches all around. The art is gorgeously displayed, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the back deck and yard are awesome! Succulents, bouganvillea, and a shimmering disco ball and retro BBQ make dining in/outside just as excellent as walking to one of the local cafes, all of which are amazing from Peruvian, to Nepalese, to an excellent tapas/wine bar. A bit of a private oasis to come home to after a day in the city! I was able to park out front every night, and felt very secure/safe. Oh and breakfast at the Sandbox bakery is one of the best in the city..one block away..I wandered down and enjoyed a Japanese/French inspired pastry with the other folks with their babies, a dogs..sweet neighborhood indeed..I'll stay here whenever I have the good fortune to be in SF!
