BerkeleyPerfect location for S.F. visit
Left on 05/04/2013 for a stay in April 2013
I was given the assignment of finding housing for 4 physicians (including myself) visiting San Francisco for a medical convention at Moscone Center. Initially, I had hoped to find a Brvo location closer to Market. How fortunate that we took this property instead! The location is perfect. The walk to and from the meeting was a bit long, but very do-able. A couple times we took taxis. The best thing about the location is that we could walk around North Beach and Fisherman's Warf for restaurants and entertainment. The apartment was fantastic. very clean and comfortable. 3 of us had private bedrooms, and one of us slept in the living room which was very comfortable and had it's own door for privacy. The couch could easily sleep 3 more people, and the roll-away was extremely comfortable. This will be the first place I try to get next time I need a room in S.F.

We had a great stay at fishermans wharf, the apartment was really well stocked, clean and a perfect location for most of the attractions. The minor issues we had were dealt with prompty by boutika and they were very accomodating. In close walking distance was the pier and china town. However the apartment is up a steep flight of stairs and hard work for a pushchair! Local supermarket 5 minute walk away. If we visited san francisco again we would definately stay in the same apartment.

We spent 4 nights, we were 5 adults and 2 kids. The appartement is awesome and very clean. The decoration is very nice. Location is great and the street authentic. We really enjoyed our Stay in SF and enjoyed the time spent in the appartement as the kitchen was fully furnished. We had an issue with the heater so we called the Boutikia which fixed it right away. We were amazed by the kindness and the professionalism.
We would definitively stay there again if we had to come back in SF. We have given the words to all our colleagues and friends already.

Thank you for a wonderful experience at Fisherman's Wharf vacation home. The house was everything and more than I expected. The location was within walking distance of a lot of attractions. This was my first time booking a vacation home and I very please with how easy the Boutikia team made it. My party consisted of 6 adults. The pictures, description and the reviews on trip advisor were very accurate. Entry was easy with the code, the kitchen was large & well equipped, table big enough for 6, lots of towels, very comfortable beds, quiet street, except for the occasional fire truck in the night! The bathrooms were both good size and very clean. It was nice to have washing machine detergent available to do laundry.
The response to my emergency call when the breaker tripped was very quick with a phone call back within a few minutes and the breaker panel was then easy to locate.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco, this is a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Everyone we met was extremely helpful and friendly.
I will definitely tell anyone travelling to San Francisco to stay at this home or use your company for one of our other properties. -

We are an australian family of 4 with teenagers aged 16 and 19. We found the acommodation had plenty of space and all mod cons, including an incredible kitchen with great array of cooking equipment. The location allowed us to walk most places, especially to great restaurants. Also easy to get to public transport when we wished to venture further. Boutikia staff very friendly and responded quickly to our requests whenmaking enquiries.

This home was wonderful. We had 4 adults and 4 young children staying in this home. It was very comfortable and beautiful. We were within walking distance of everything around Fisherman's Wharf. We did have a quick issue with the washing machine, but I emailed Boutikia and was responded to quickly to get the problem solved. Would recommend this property.

Portland, ORShould have gone with my other option
Left on 12/16/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I rented an apartment in the Fisherman's Wharf to attend a conference. I was bringing along my 16 month old son so wanted a something safe and quiet. Everything I had read about Boutikia showed this to be the property I wanted and chose it over another option. Check in was very smooth and easy. When we first got there we noticed we were almost out of paper towels and couldn't find any extras. Two days later and three phone call we finally got some papertowels. Then, there was the gate on the back patio area that was barely attached and hooked to the remaining fence with bungee cord. Not exactly what I was looking for to keep my 16 month old safe (especially with how much he likes being outside). Then we had our toilet stop working. They accused us of putting paper towels down it. Well, that would be hard since we didn't have paper towels. Also, the re-furb on this apartment included coating everything (including door latches) with thick white paint. Makes everything look clean but prevents doors from being able to stay closed. Also, the baseboards squeaked super loud and we could hear everything that was going on in the apartment above. For $395 a night, I expected much better. Then after our stay we were offered $50 for a positive review on flipkey or Vrbo. Now I know why all the reviews were so positive. Looking for luxury and safety, look elsewhere.

Lara was travelling with a hyperactive toddler and was stressed from following him continually. There is no way an apartment was going to be suitable or child-proof enough for her. She should have chosen a hotel.
We setup a fresh roll of paper towels for each guest. Lara requested an additional roll of paper towels the day after her arrival. I forgot to service this request that day. She called the office next day, very upset about that, almost abusive. We immediately sent paper towels this time, but I think the damage was done. The main drain blocked 4 days after her arrival. Though we spent all day to manage this emergency and fixing other things that she thought were unsafe for her toddler, she was less than thankful about it. She was now looking for a refund, sending me warnings about negative reviews. I just could not give in to that, no matter the consequences, especially not after the plumber pulled out paper towels from the sewer!
I understand that this place is not perfect, but that this is a great place to stay for many reasons. It is a high quality place in the best location in the city. And now, its a bit more kid friendly, thanks to Lara! -

The appartment was simply as advertised: well located, clean and very comfortable. There were even board games and books and a Safeway discount card.
We were 5 minutes from the Fisherman's Wharf, in a residential area that was calm. The appartment was roomy and could accomodate all five of us.
The kitchen was clean with appliances that looked like they were just taken out of the box. -

This was a totally stress-free rental experience, from checking ourselves in with a door code to leaving when we were ready. Booking was straightforward and the staff were really helpful, but it was nice not to have to have a formal start and finish to our stay. On the subject of service, our deposit was refunded swiftly too.
The apartment suited us really well, as an assorted party of seven: two grandmas, mum and dad and three teenage boys. The boys admittedly took over the lovely living room, with its enormous sofa and a Z-bed, but bed linen was easily stowed during the day.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and had masses of linen, plenty of crockery and an efficient washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Toiletries and detergents were all provided too, which was a nice touch. We particularly liked it because it had everything we needed, but nothing was too precious so that you felt you had to walk on eggshells. There was a little deck outside, but it was overlooked from various angles.
As far as locations go, we couldn't have chosen anywhere better. We were a few minutes walk from Fisherman's Wharf and within easy walking distance (if you don't mind hills!) from the centre. There were lovely, independent cafes and handy neighbourhood grocery stores and a nearby Trader Joe, but Safeway and Starbucks etc too, all within walking distance. It was a pleasant, peaceful road.
Best of all, if the sky was clear, we could see - admittedly far in the distance! - the Golden Gate Bridge. -

My son and I spent 6 days in this incredible apartment. Very spacious. It was immaculate and well stocked. Convenient to all attractions and since we visited over Thanksgiving we found parking on the street every day, but also did lots of walking as well. Grocery store and coffee shops within walking distance. Excellent customer service before and during stay. Highly recommended!

Doing the reservation and contacting Boutikia with questions was very easy and they replied very fast.
The apartment was very cozy, with top of the line appliances, soft sheets and comfy comforters. The living room area was bright and spacious with a nice size flat tv and comfy sectional sofa.
The location was perfect, walking distance (10') to Pier 39 and 3 blocks away from Trader Joe's and Safeway Supermarkets.

Left on 08/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
As a family of four we were looking for an apartment located close to all of the tourist centers in San Francisco so that we wouldn't need a car, and at nights could relax over a glass of Californian wine and some great Italian food of our own making. The Boutikia apartment at Fishermans Wharf exceeded all of our expectations.
Fishermans wharf, Chinatown, the Ferries and Buses to Muir Woods, Sonoma County and of course alcatraz are all within 5- 10 minutes walk of the apartment.
I never thought it would be possible to have a relaxing quiet stay whilst remaining close to all of the major attractions, but that is exactly what the apartment delivered.
5 out of 5 - Thanks Boutikia

My husband and I stayed with our adult children for a full week. The location is fantastic. You can walk to so many landmarks, restaurants, public transportation etc. The view up on the roof is fantastic.
The apartment was exactly as advertised. The kitchen is equipped with very high end appliances. We made dinner a few times and it was easy to do since the kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you'd need. The beds were particularly comfortable. The TVs are high quality. It was very convenient to have the washer and dryer available, and both worked well. Basically I couldn't think of anything you'd really need that wasn't in the apartment.
There are only two items worth suggesting for improvement. I don't care for a perk coffee pot. No big deal, but I think most people prefer a drip machine. And, we had trouble operating one of the TV sets. It appeared to have something to do with the cable connection. Since it could have been "operator error", I didn't call the owner. My suggestion is to have some instructions for the TVs/cable. -

This apartment is grate, it is well located close to Fisherman's Wharf and in walking distance from the down town. The apartment is well equipped with 3 good bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big living room and good kitchen. The apartment has a number lock so it is easy to check in late since they send you by e-mail the number before you come.

We just got back from a long weekend to celebrate my son's graduation from Sfsu. In addition, my other son had 3 open heart surgeries in april. We had lots to celebrate and this is the ideal family place to do it. The home is spotless and so comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The beds? The most comfortable for a vacation rental we've had and we've travelled all over the world. The 1/2 bath was not a problem and the location and amenties and even the neighbors in the building are an added plus. We had 3 cars up there and parking was not a big issue for us at all. The location? Perfect for travellers, family reunion or business.

This property is obviously newly renovated and we found it very clean and comfortable. It's a quick walk to Fishermans wharf and also just a couple blocks to North Beach area and some terrific italian food! Street was quiet and safe but parking wasn't always easy. There is only 1 shower so we needed to be patient to share the bathroom. It would have been much better if they had a mirror in the half bath so it could have been used for getting ready. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco and this wonderful home was a big part of that! Would stay here again!

Thanks for the feedback. I have added a mirror in the half bath. Parking in SF is quite difficult in general, but there are several garages in the neighborhood of this property where you can park either overnight or all-day. Street parking is free, but you have to move your car every 2 hours during the day.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in one of those vintage San Francisco row houses with bay windows overlooking the street? This is it!
We had a fabulous time while staying at this newly remodeled North Beach rental last week. The accommodations and location were perfect for our needs, well kept and spacious for our group of six. Coit Tower is up the hill, cable cars two blocks away, Chinatown close by and Little Italy even closer. The Wharf (including bay tours, museum, sea lions, and all the rest)---all are nearby. We liked the neighborhood feel versus a hotel, and the living area was comfortable for the extended family. The listing description was accurate (three bedrooms and generous kitchen and living area) and the owners quickly answered all questions I had in advance of the trip. This updated row house has both modern conveniences (luxurious shower, washer and dryer!) and charming vintage architectural details (bay window in the bedroom!).
The kitchen is well appointed, but we didn't cook---too many great restaurants nearby to choose from! We liked Tony's aGoGo (Italian and great pizza) on Stockton, Hong Kong Clay Pot at 960 Grant in Chinatown, and don't miss Mo's Gourmet Hamburger at 1322 Grant ( burgers, omelets, satisfying homestyle). There are many coffee choices in Little Italy but try Cafe Trieste.
Keyless entry worked well for our group's various activities and schedules. We used Muni Passport for the cable cars and city-run tourist buses (the F-line runs up and down the Wharf). We did not rent a car, simply took Bart to the Powell station and caught the F-line, walked the remaining few blocks.
I plan to be back and stay here again soon---maybe a longer visit next time!
