We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was better to have the amenities it offered than paying the same amount to stay in a San Francisco hotel. The street the home was on was nice and quiet. One block away is the corner of Haight Ashbury. That is almost like a different world with the homeless and other outsized personalities. It was a little scary for my 12 year old daughter. My wife and I enjoyed our morning walks to the panhandle park and over to the Golden Gate Park proper. We highly recommend the restaurant Bambino's a few blocks away on Cole St. It doesn't get mentioned in many guides but it was a great location for great Italian food. We visited there twice during our 5 nights in the house. I would also recommend if you don't need a car don't bring one. Parking is very difficult in the area. We basically left our car in the first spot we could find and used Uber for any travel outside of walking distance.
This was a really great place to stay. Very fresh remodel and very clean. Very traditional San Francisco 1890's house but totally modern. Very nicely decorated. Excellent location for sightseeing in San Francisco. We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and had plenty of room. Back yard flowers were very pretty. Great location to get anywhere in the city quickly and not have to deal with masses of tourists like staying in the Fisherman's Wharf area.
Basically one block from Haight and ashbury but in a residential area not over run with tourists. Plenty of public transportation nearby although we chose to drive. Very close (walking distance) to 2 markets/grocery stores). I have lived in San Francisco in the past and been there many times so driving and finding parking is not a big deal for us.
If you have a car you will have to park about a block away from this house but that is standard for San Francisco and never had an issue finding a spot at anytime even very late at night - even parked directly in front one night!
Lots of restaurants nearby at various price points (from Pizza by the slice to really nice).
Bike rental shop a couple of blocks away for rides through Golden Gate Park or for rides across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausilito (ride the Ferry back).
Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely, clean gem in the Haight!

My family and I stayed at this 2-br, spacious apt for a long weekend in april. What a great place - lots of room for 4 of us, wood floors, gorgeous backyard, good-sized kitchen, cozy living room with big picture windows to let the sun in. Location was great, too, as we wanted to explore a new neighborhood - this spot was within walking distance to plenty of coffee shops, delis, Golden Gate Park, etc. I would stay here again; the property is very-well maintained and cared for.
