What Past Guests Are Saying
This apartment is in the absolute beat location in SF. Next to buena vista park and views of the bridge and 2 minutes from haight ashbury. Views are amazing and you can see golden gate park from the kitchen. It's manky though, the sofa / bed is incredibly old, disgusting and the springs come through. The carpeta are one big stain and you wouldnt go barefoot. The kitchen had no cutlery or plates when we arrived but this was quickly sorted.
But there is beautiful light and a park on your doorstep. Would stay again for sure!

Ok place, great location, but not as advertised
On the plus side, this house is right next to Buena Vista Park and a very short walk from the Haight ashbury area. The apartment is actually quite spacious for a one bedroom and has a nice view over the city. Not really much of a "deck;" it's actually a fire escape, and while it's fine for a quick view, we were hard pressed to fit four people out there, let alone use it as a "deck." The interior is old, but clean and functional. The kitchen is completely equipped and works well.
While they do have a great system for getting the keys from a safe just up the street, we were provided with the completely wrong set of keys, and it took two calls to the owner, who said we were doing something wrong, and two hours of waiting at the door before someone came out and realized the mistake.
My only other complaint is that while the place can technically sleep four, it's really not equipped for four as advertised. There were only two bath towels in the entire place for everything. Likewise, there were absolutely no linens for the foldout bed. We ended up having to keep warm under two thin .99 store towels we bought for the bathroom.
Otherwise the place is really fine and provided for all our needs.
At home in San Francisco
We stayed in an upper one bedroom apartment at Pierce and California in SF. It was close to public transportation and ammenities. We loved the apartment so much that we could comfortably stay there for a year without looking at anything else.
Nb: We currently live in a 2-storey, 4-bedroom home and our daughter has moved to SF for her post-graduate studies.)
Great location, but short on thrills
We had originally booked another apartment through the agency, but was contacted shortly after to say that the reservation system made a mistake and that the other apt was already booked. The agency recommended this apt as a comparable place. The pros: the apartment was in a great location, close to the Golden Gate Park, restaurants ,and transit. The cons: other than location, the apartment didn't have much to offer. The furnishings reminded me of a college guy's bachelor pad, and there was animal fur/hair on everything. If you are looking for just a convenient place to stay this place would work, but don't have high expectations for style or comfort.
