Great misty view of San Francisco every morning
You woke up every morning with a majestic view of the city. The fog rolling over the city and the mountains. The only problems were at night as there were no lights outside on the steps leading to the house plus the tv kept loosing channels and the sliding door on the balcaney would not lock properly. Not suitable for disable people
House was clean, comfortable and location was prefect.
We had our 85 year old father with us, we were coming to SFO for a wedding. The only complaint was no cable service. He was not able to get around very well and watches TV most of the day. He missed his football games etc. Everything else about the house was great.
Perfect location wonderful views lovely decor and interior
magnnificent in every way
Our family gathered in the Museum town House apartment for 10 days over Christmas. We loved the view. We loved the elegance of the furnishings, especially the kitchen. And we slept comfortably although the first floor bedroom was a little cold. The location was perfect, near the Randall Museum for our grandson and near parks for us.We walked down to the Mission? neighborhood for our grocery shopping, coffee shop and fitness center.

Great place to be with a magnificent view
We rented the place via a UK agent for a whole week, but something apparently went wrong with the booking at Casa Buena Vista Rental and their computer system, so we were told. This allowed is to stay shorter than originally booked, but the stay was still great. I'd recommend to everyone.
We even cycled from Pier 39 to the house, which was quite a challenge.

Fabulous stay in San Fransisco
Museum townhouse is an ideal place for group stay. The accommodation was more than comfortable. It provided a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Union Square. The views out of the living room/mstr bedroom was stunning. Although we felt there was too much light in the bedroom right from the break of dawn. There should be dark draping curtains to block out the lights. Apart from that this place is highly recommended. Loved the homely kind of feeling.

Quiet luxury close to everything.
A hidden gem between the Haight and Castro and still in a quiet and safe neighbourhood across the street from the Randall Museum and Corona Heights Park. About a 10 minute walk to Market and Castro where you can take pretty much any streetcar downtown. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing and the big windows & skylights let in a lot of light in the afternoon. The kitchen is well equipped which made breakfasts really easy. The spiral staircase up to the master bedroom (loft) is a nice feature too. Thank you!
Good Stay but high maintenance fee!!
This vacation Rental is located in a calm area and has a good view from the balcony. A fairly reasonable price but it could sleep only 4 people comfortably. Despite cleaning the house for more than 2 hours and keeping it as clean as possible an amount of $ 150 was deducted which I think was bit to much!!
Great apartment, great location, great city
This is a great apartment in a quiet cul de sac but within a short walk of the centre of Castro district and an easy tram ride down to downtown SF. There was plenty of space for a family with three teenagers and the apartment was actually even nicer than the pictures show.
Arrangements for picking up keys were very straightforward.
The only thing missing in the apartment was a hair dryer and it would have been great to have a pack with a bit more information about the surrounding area such as nearest shop for milk etc.
But overall it was one of the nicest places we stayed in during our holiday in California. I would definitely stay there again.
A group of gal friends stayed in the home for five days. It was a lovely and convenient home. We each had our space, and we also had space to socialize. If in the SF area again, I'd definitely check into getting this exact same unit again. Loved it!
If you want a complaint, this will show just have petty we have to get. There were not enough washclothes for the advertised "sleeps 6". We bought our own set to get us through the week. Seriously, that's all I have in the complaint department.
Cosy and sophisticated...with great views!
Was looking for a place that captured some of the San Francisco vibe...and found it! It's a classy apartment that manages to strike a balance between sophistication (the balcony style bedroom) and cosyness (big sofas, big TV).
Waking up to ceiling-high windows overlooking the south side of the city was a nice touch - a daily reminder of where we were. The balcony gave another chance to soak up the great views and vibe of the city down below.
The location is excellent, with the vibrant Castro district at the doorstep and the F route cable car ready to take you us into town. Climbing up the hill directly oppositve the apartment provides the most amazing panoramic views of the city - basically the whole city and even across the bay (yes, it was a fog-less day), everything except for Golden Gate Bridge end (there's another, taller hill in the way!).
Only downside was the hiccup with the cleaning of the bedroom (which Casa Buena Vista Rentals sorted) and a scary moment when our toddler nearly stepped through the balcony railing...but that aside, it was the perfect apartment to spend a memorable weekend with family in a memorable city!
Great views - quiet location - close to public transport
We were a group of 4 friends - with one bed upstairs, the sofa bed in the living area and two singles in the second bedroom we each had our own bed. The was a major reason we chose this property.Key collection was easy and done on our way from the airport by taxi. The next day we phoned and were able able to collect a second set of keys (when booking worth requesting two sets of keys, if required). Public transport is about a ten minute walk away downhill. The walk back up hill is a bit of a shock first time (we are all in our 50s) but you get very used to it very quickly. Great views over the surrounding area from big picture windows. We had some trouble working the shower in the downstairs bathroom and so everyone used the one upstairs. We were disappointed there were no laundry facilities. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at Museum Townhouse.

Museum Townhouse - Perfect for this Family of Five!
We stayed at the Museum Townhouse for 5 nights with our 3 kids - 3, 3, 6 - and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The townhouse is clean, updated, comfortable, and well-stocked. We spent one afternoon at the Randall Museum across from the townhouse and had a nice time. Enjoyed several walks down to the Castro and used the underground Muni to get to the Ferry Bldg/Union Square area for a day of sight-seeing without having to use/park our car. Also close to the Haight and Cole Valley for good eats and windowshopping. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
A wonderful home in a wonderful city!
First off let me just say that the property owner is a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. The home itself was beautifully appointed and offered excellent view of the city. Every time I'd enter the home or wake up in the morning and look out the back of the home which is predominantly glass and enjoy that amazing view. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the shower in the master bath was nice. Just about every room had lights with dimmers so you could always get the right ambiance too.
The house is on a cul de sac on top of a hill by the Randall Museum. The easiest way to get to public transportation by foot is to look to the right of the museum and find the paved pathway that zigzags downhill to State Street. When you get down to State Street walk to the left (downhill) to the corner and make a right on Castro. Head downhill one block and you are at Castro and Market (features a MUNI stop a small deli and plenty of other shops). Oh and Haight Street was about a 15 minute walk from the townhome.
Quiet and convenient location close to Castro
Our family of 4 stayed at Museum Townhouse for 3 nights. The townhouse is located in a quiet street. It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with easy parking. Public transport was easily accessible from the Castro district. Although we felt very safe walking and catching transport in this predominantly gay area, be aware that if you are travelling with children (as we were), there were some eye opening sights. One minor issue that was quickly resolved was that the house had not been cleaned when we arrived. Free WIFI was great. Of course, the view is amazing!
casa buena museum rental.
Quite lovely and well priced. However, I was not very happy with the "cleanliness"- which is extremely important to me. The oven was dirty and the bedding upstairs and elsewhere was not crisp and clean looking. I hoped the sheets were clean - (not sure!) The pillow was not great but the bed was fairly comfortable.
Great location, Beautiful views. Loved it
Our stay at the museum town house was amazing. The residence was just like home and close to the area that we would be visiting. The website was easy to use and the Manager was helpful and offered propt service. Get alternate to staying in a hotel.

The Townhouse was impeccably maintained and fully equipped with everything we needed. Great, quiet, location but only a few minutes away from everything. Fabulous view. We had a wonderful, and comfortable, stay.
Phenomenal home with spectacular view
We were "wowed" by this home. It is in a lovely neighborhood and it has spectacular views! It was modern and comfortable. Our friends rented other homes elsewhere and they were all extremely jealous when they saw our home! They wanted to stay with us all weekend! Only one bit of advice. Please note that the master upstairs is an open loft so you really don't have privacy if others are sitting in the downstairs den or kitchen. Of course, if others are in a closed bedroom downstairs, then you will have some privacy. Other than the lack of privacy we felt, everything else was perfect in every way. We would stay in this home again in a heartbeat!
toluca lake, california
Great home, conveniently located close to public transportation in the Castro district. Home was comfortable and well equipped and obviously showed pride of ownership. Home had a view of SF hills. Staying at the Museum House was like having your own home in the city.
Great place to visit
We rented this property for 3 days last year when we were visiting California, it was be a bit difficult to find the apartment(house number was hard to see from the road) but once found it was very comfortable, clean, close to the trams, great views. Would most certainly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting San Francisco. We will certainly be back!!!
We have rented many times before and think its a great way to live especially if your a family or a larger group much better than staying in a hotel. Its nice to be able to go up in the morning and NOT have to eat breakfast with a room full of strangers.
