Three Bedroom Split level Villa San Gimignano

Villa Melody is one half of a lovely country house in a fantastic panoramic position in the hills close to the wonderful medieval town of San Gimignano. The villa is very prettily furnished in country style with a homely atmosphere and opens onto its? own secluded garden area with lawn and covered terrace perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco. Steps lead from the garden down to the villas private swimming pool set in the terraced grounds below.

As soon as you walk into Villa Melody you get the immediate feeling of a home from home. The large covered terrace opens directly into the... inviting ground floor living area which has an open plan eat in country kitchen, dining area and comfy sitting area with settee set in front of a large decorative fireplace. On the same floor is a shower room and a pretty double bedroom. Stairs lead from the living area to the upper floor where there is a further large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle, and two more lovely bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a characteristic four poster double bed and settee (which converts to a bed on request to accommodate an extra person), the other has twin beds (which can convert to a double on request). The attentive owners have decorated the villa to a high standard with brightly painted walls marrying perfectly with terracotta floors and lots of personal touches create a real homely atmosphere. All modern facilities have of course been added with satellite television in all the bedrooms and living area, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and broadband internet connection.

The villas living area opens directly onto the covered loggia terrace and in turn to the villas? garden with lawns, built in barbecue and secluded by hedges and mature trees. Steps lead down from the garden to the private swimming pool (10m x 5m) set in the grounds below. The pool has a shallower corner with steps (4m x 3m) (suitable for children) and is furnished with sun loungers, and sun umbrella.

The approaching country road inclines uphill to the villa and turns into a cypress lined driveway and the villas own private entrance and parking. The villas grounds are fully enclosed with electric gate, and the garden and pool are for the exclusive use of guests. The owners live in the other part of the house and have their own entrance. Whilst being very friendly and helpful they do not intrude on your privacy yet are happy to assist you during your stay.

Villa Melody although immersed in the lovely Tuscan hills is just 5 kms from the gorgeous town of San Gimignano, famous for its? medieval towers, historical sights and craft shops, as well as having an excellent selection of restaurants, a supermarket and local amenities. Florence and Siena are just over half an hours? drive away or accessible via train/bus connections nearby, whilst many other of Tuscany jewels and the Chianti wine area are all easily reached by car.

  Villa Melody was everthing promised, and more. Immaculate, well provided and as comfortable as your own home. Our hostess, Sabrina, met us as we drove up and made us feel welcome and special. A special treat was her "welcome give" greeting us after our first day of touring. This location is convenient to many desirable sites in Tuscany, all within a reasonable drive.
  If I was to add anything to the comforts of this villa I would like ceiling fans...and maybe a clothes dryer but nothing was really missing.
