Two Bedroom First Floor Apartment

Turris is pretty apartment on the wine producing estate of Le Vigne in the heart of Tuscany. From the cypress lined drive, the first view of the medieval town of San Gimignano rises up on the horizon and can be seen from almost every corner of the farm. In a lovely position is the estate?s swimming pool which enjoys the same unforgettable view.

Turris is a spacious apartment on the first floor of the main farmhouse, nicely furnished in keeping with Tuscan tradition with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, complimenting the oak furniture. The apartment consists of a large living room with a c...ountry style kitchen area, dining table and chairs, and settee (which converts to a double bed on request to accommodate extra persons) and there are two characteristic double bedrooms, each with their own ensuite shower room. Turris has a table, chairs and sun umbrella in the pretty paved courtyard in front of the farmhouse, perfect for dining al fresco and there is a built in barbeque in the grounds nearby.

A stone pathway leads through the grounds to the beautiful panoramic swimming pool (14m x 7m) furnished with sun loungers, sun umbrellas and gazebo providing a shady retreat. Set slightly above the house, the pool, surrounded by grassy terraces, pretty flower beds and olive groves enjoys spectacular views of the countryside spread before you like a patchwork quilt of vineyards, olive groves and sunflower fields with San Gimignano rising majestically on the skyline.

The this lovely estate is composed of the main farmhouse divided into just five apartments, one in which the owners reside and other detached buildings forming another two apartments and the winery. The owners in fact produce a variety of excellent wines as well as local olive oil, and guests will find that they are free to wander the grounds of the estate and experience firsthand the everyday life of a Tuscan wine producer.

With the sun setting behind San Gimignano, it?s tempting to dine alfresco with a good bottle of the estate?s famous wine, but when you can tear yourself away from this blissful country retreat, you will find that there is an excellent selection of restaurants within easy driving distance. The estate also provides breakfast on request (prebookable /payable locally). Wi fi internet access is also available and there is a laundry room with washing machine for guests use, as well as a little play area for children.

This blissful country retreat is perfectly located for touring the area, as well as being very close to famous San Gimignano, the town of Colle di Val d?Elsa, with its? pretty medieval quarter and local crystal production is just 5km down the road whilst Poggibonsi with its road and rail links to Florence and Siena is only 9km away, making the rest of Tuscany and its many treasures easily accessible.
