This duplex house is located on a 120 acres private tree farm, Each unit has 2 bedrooms, 1and 1/2 baths and offers all the comforts of home in a tropical setting. The houses are fully air conditioned and quite comfortable with covered terrace and miles of trails. They offer a quiet jungle setting for rest and relaxation with only the birds to break the peace. They can be rented separately or together for a great family vacation. They are less than 2 miles from the center of San Ignacio Town, the San Ignacio Hotel with the Princess Casino, many restaurants, quaint shops, Banks etc...

One would never think this property on the edge of the second largest town in Belize. The farm is on rolling hills with forest, pastures and a tree plantation. It has forest on both sides and on the farm itself. Hiking shoes or boots are recommended if you plan to go walking around. Maya ruins are a few minutes drive away as are some of the best resorts in the country and the Belize Botanic Garden.

we enjoyed our stay greatly at Famadani. There were 4 of us, 2 couples and the size of the place was great. Everything worked well, and since this was our 10th day of vacation, the washing machine was great. The road into the property is quite bad and 4x4 is a must. We were welcomed by Jon and he was very keen to help with anything. Too bad we didn't get too much time to chat since we are both Brits. I did meet his Mum and Dad for about 30 seconds. anyway, a great secluded place, but very close to town.

We came to Belize for the first time to attend a family wedding. The place was perfect for us. The people who stayed in the other villa were great folks. Place was clean and everything that we expected. My only concern would be if the other villa who would be rented to noisy tenants. They are less than five feet apart and the sounds carry. For us it was not a problem. We would stay here again and hope the other villa would have quiet people, or not be rented at all.

We enjoyed our stay at Framadani Villa. There were two occasions when we asked for something and within a very short time, our request was answered. The home was nice and clean and looked like the pictures. The home is away from San Ignacio town and down a very rough, bumpy road, but it wasn't difficult for us since we rented a car.
We enjoyed lying in the hammocks on the veranda on the few opportunities we had to relax - we stayed pretty busy. It was also nice to relax in the air-conditioned home during the heat of the day. WiFi service helped us keep in touch with a family member who stayed in Texas.
I guess the only thing I wish the home had is a microwave. I didn't realize how many things I cooked or wamed up in a microwave - adding that would be a great asset for the home. The dishwasher was broken while we were there but Katie let me know that via email so it was no problem.
Overall, our stay at Framadani was great! Thanks for making the home available for us. -

Very secluded, although close to San Ignacio. Access road rough, 4wd required. All rooms air conditioned. Owner very gracious and eager to help.
