Norman, your host, is much more then an innkeeper, he is a friend, tour guide, chef, host, advisor.. And a very patient man.. (Thanks for hanging in there on the house tours!). We had the best stay and can confirm the other comments on previous reviews. The location is spectacular, and we appreciated that is just far enough away to be quiet, but easy walking to everything, including the beach, centre of town, and some really great restaurants. We felt very welcome in Norman's home, and equally welcome around town. It was very easy to laugh and have fun here.. Lots to do and see. Highly recommended for a B&B; stay, which we prefer over resorts and all inclusives. I found myself looking forward to the get together at sunset in Norman's Cantina.. Cold beer, warm weather, great view.. Wonderful holiday! Enjoyed our combined dinner's as well, fun to stay in and cook up great meals. If you visit, see if you can find Seeattee while your there... Thanks Norman! Hope we stay again..

Norman was available to help us find activities plus transport to airport if needed. He provided us with tasty breakfasts and often was comfortable preparing excellent dinners. The home felt like a home with beautiful flowers. I would choose to come here again.

Norman the owner of Hacienda de Cortez B&B; picked out family up from the airport. He was a fantastic Host and friend to all. A wonderful chef and Tour guide. Our family really felt welcomed by his hospitality. The breakfast on the patio complete with the beautiful views of the ocean and Palm trees and flora were breathtaking. We enjoyed or trip to the arches and Lover''s Beach on the pontoon arranged by Norman. We shared in the preparation of a fantastic dinner Enchilada's Vegetarian and my sisters Tamales with Margaritas. The rooms are perfect with very comfortable beds, clean and quiet. One day it was cool in the morning and Norman prepared fire for my Mom to sit and have her coffee. Our family really enjoyed our stay. We will be visiting again. Muchas Gracias!

The best vacation accommodations ever experienced! Very inviting, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with so much space especially for our family of 7, plus 2 visiting family members who live in San Jose Del Cabo (aages ranging from 18 to 89). This was the perfect place! Room for each of us to do our own thing, whether sitting at the Cantina bar, patio, kitchen or living room; accessing the Internet, or enjoying the gorgeous views of sunrises and sunsets and full moon, birds and listening to the geckos. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, the funny and charming owner/host Norman Trottier was like visiting family. His breakfasts and a fish dinner were fantastic, and he and our whole family fixed one meal together. The location was great for access to town, the shopping areas and restaurants, and about a half hour walk to the beach and the estuary. What I loved most was the homey and relaxing feeling, that I do not find in a hotel. We would definitely stay they again, and highly recommend it, for couples, to large families like ours.

We just got back from a wonderful relaxing 4 nites in San Jose del cabo. The Hacienda is a large beautiful house overlooking the sea of Corezand golf course. The views were amazing. It has a good location to golf, the beach, town just a short walk away. Norman made great breakfast every morning and other goodies for us. He is an axcellent host. We are missing Norman and the Hacienda already. We would definately recommend.

We were 2 families from Canada and stayed for 2 weeks at Hacienda de Cortez. We had an excellent vacation and recommend this place to friends. Norman, the owner and host, was very helpful in finding interesting things to do and got our vacation started right away with his good advice. The breakfasts in the morning were great. The house has a great location, super view of the ocean, and is close to shopping and the Mega.

Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in February 2012
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hacienda de Cortes very much. Our host, Norman, whipped up a full breakfast for us every morning, as well as other treats. He also provides rides to and from the airport which is a great convenience. The hacienda is about a half-mile walk into heart of old San Jose--a charming town with lots of good restaurants and galleries--and a half-mile to the beach. Thursday evenings are "Art Walk" and Sat organic market is about a mile walk and worth it! Only caveat is that there are alot of stairs to navigate to kitchen, dining area, and pool, as well as a steep rise from the main road. We are in our 60s and it was all very do-able, but just a heads up if steps pose a problem.

Hacienda De Cortez was the perfect size for our family of 8 adults and 3 grandkids with its 5 bedrooms, spacious living areas and pleasant outside eating areas. Everyone had plenty of privacy as a result of the layout with each bedroom having its own full bath. The location proved to be perfect for our activities with convenient access to the beach, the little town of San Jose and the marina for our fishing excursions. Norman, the B&B; owner, was very pleasant and very helpful relieving us of the burden associated with sorting out logistics, providing good advice for activities and helping us to make optimal use of our week stay. We took ample pictures on this vacation and what struck me when I was going though them was all the broad smiles on everyone’s faces! This will be one of the most memorable vacations our family has ever taken! Thank you Norman for all your help making visit for all of us so pleasant!

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We had a wonderful 3 week holiday in San Jose del Cabo. You won’t need a car; you are picked up on time at the airport and transported to the Hacienda and back to the airport again on departure. The weather was perfect every day. Hacienda de Cortez, Bed & Breakfast located on the 6th hole of the Mayan Golf course overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The private bedroom and on-suite were spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated with comfortable queen size hotel beds. We had a very relaxing holiday; waking up to the sound of birds chirping, blue sky with an ocean breeze was dreamy. Each morning our host Norman offered everything from a full american breakfast to a light fresh fruit continental breakfast. At Hacienda de Cortez you are a short 10 minute walk to downtown San Jose del Cabo for dinning and shopping pleasure. However, if you like cozy local dinning you’ll find several little bistro’s right in the neighborhood. And shopping; for some of the best deals in all of Cabo, just a few blocks away is a lovely modern outdoor mall with wonderful Mexican shops, where they are always willing to bargain. For those who love to golf, Hacienda de Cortez is the best location and cost in San Jose/Cabo. At Hacienda de Cortez you will pay the resident golf rate which is 40% less than commercial hotels and tourist pricing, we golfed for an average of $40.Cdn, including cart on a challenging course suited to all golfing skills, can’t beat that price anywhere in Cabo! Hacienda de Cortez was definitely one of our best vacations and we will be back again, thank you Norman for sharing your beautiful home with us. Adios ..

Just got back from a 10 day stay with my spouse and a friend. The place was fantastic.
. Overlooking golf course to the Sea of Cortez.. Location is excellant. About a 10 minute wlk to the centre of San Jose a beutiful unspoiled Mexican town. Our host Norman picked up at the airport and dropped us off when we left. The rooms are great the pool is great I wish I could have stayed longer. Don't miss out on this gem of the Baja. We're planning to back in the spring.
