Old San Juan has a very vibrant night life. There are a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from which stay open relatively late. Some streets in Old San Juan tend to be noisy because of this, but La Puntilla is located on a quiet, securely guarded dead-end street which allows for restful nights.
Other city beaches such as Condado Beach, Ocean Park and Isla Verde are about a 15 minute drive and are also accessible by bus.

In order to confirm your reservation we require a 50% deposit (Reservation Deposit) of the total rent along with a signed Lease Agreement.
The second balance payment is due no later than three weeks prior to the check-in date, along with the additional fees of $100.00 Security Deposit (returned to you by mail) and $50.00 one-time cleaning fee. The security deposit will increase to $200 during Carnival/Las Fiestas de San Sebastian (January 16-20, 2013).
The rates listed above are for parties of two. We charge an additional $20 for parties of three.
A $30 fee will be charged for check-in between 10pm-9am.

First of all dealing with Olivia was really great. Any questions that we had about the condo or anything else she responded right away and was very helpfull. When we eventually arrived in San Juan her father was there to meet us and welcome us to the island. He made us feel right at home. The condo itself is very nice and has a beautiful view of the bay and of El Yunque. Everything that you need in Old San Juan is within easy walking distance. The area is very safe and well lit at night. We would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

This was our fifth time visiting San Juan and first time trying a rental. This apartment is a great deal. The location near the waterfront is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the front balcony to watch the cruise ship come and go. The apartment is nice sized and very modern. Cvs, Walgreen's and a small grocery store are all witin a 10 minute walk, and all 3 sell alcohol. If you have a rental car, the public parking lot next door is very reasonably priced (about $8-9 per 24 hrs). The neighborhood, like all of Old San Juan, is very safe and the apartment is across the street from th Customs and Border Protection HQ and down the street from the Coast Guard main gate. We will definitely stay here on our next vist to San Juan. We only made our reservation a few weeks in advance and Olivia was very easy to contact and prompt on replying to my e-mails. Her father met us at check in and was very friendly.l

The apartment is fantastic with great views, very clean, and has everything in the kitchen to make your stay very enjoyable! Close proximity to everything: grocery store 5 min, the beach, El Morro. You can see the Governor's mansion from the bedroom windows. The hosts were super, invited us to the party where we could mingle with locals. The security deposit was received one week since departure. Highly recommend and we will be back!!! -

This apartment is well-equipped, clean, and conveniently located, has a breathtakingly beautiful view, and is owned/managed by friendly and incredibly helpful people. All of Old San Juan is within walking distance, and there are also free trolleys to get from one place to another. If we ever get back to San Juan, we will definitely want to stay there again!

We stayed at La Puntilla during a four day trip in Old San Juan. While it is difficult to navigate Old San Juan in the beginning, we finally found it. The location was perfect and walkable to everywhere in Old San Juan. We were right by the pier with everything very close. We also were located right by the us Coast Guard building, so we felt very safe. The apartment was amazing and perfect for us (two of us). Very clean, excellent condition, all the amenities you would need. The people who rent it - Olivia and Luis were amazing to work with. Verrry accommodating, prompt, and honest. Would highly recommen d staying here!

This is an excellent choice if you are hanging out in San Juan for a few days (or longer). It's close to all of the attractions in Old San Juan - the forts, cathedral, restaurants, shopping and nightlife - without being right in the middle of the party and the noise. The view is gorgeous (see picture),and the ocean breeze that comes in when you open the doors of the balcony is sooo refreshing. It's clean, there's laundry and wi-fi. Olivia was extremely helpful through the whole process and her father, Luis, was very sweet and spent a lot of time with us giving us tips and background info. Our deposit came back before we even got back to the states (we went to Vieques for a week after our stay in San Juan). We would absolutely stay at La Puntilla again.

We stayed in Olivia's condo for two nights pre-cruise before Christmas and it shows exactly as the photos. Super clean, comfortable and close to everything. The view is amazing! The apartment unit is located on a corner, the cross-breeze was great. While there is aC in bedroom, the breeze takes care of the rest. Kitchen is super functional and huge dining room table to spread out and internet access was very stable and we really appreciated this. The apt is located on the 4th floor, not a problem for us, but it could be a tad much for elderly folks that may be challenged with stairs. Olivia was always prompt with her email responses and extremely professional. Luis met us on our arrival, helped us with our luggage and we truly enjoyed chatting with him about OSJ sites to see and he highly recommended we visit these two caves one hour out of OSJ which we did. Thank Luis, we much appreciated our tour. Olivia, Luis, thank you for everything...we truly enjoyed our stay - you have a beautiful spot.

Old San Juan is the place to stay in Puerto Rico, and La Puntilla is the place to stay in Old San Juan. Great location, at a walking distance to restaurants, shops and the nightlife. We went there between Xmas and New Year's eve and it was a good time to escape the Chicago weather. Luis was a great host and even helped us with our luggage upstairs. We were invited to a very nice holiday party the evening of our arrival and really felt comfortable and welcome there (we were also invited to New Year's eve party but we already had other plans). The apartment we stayed in is well furnished / clean / modern, and probably has the best views in the whole apartment complex, with 2 balconies. You can open the shudders and really feel the air from the sea. Luis also provided us with some additional supplies.
One small negative is that we went to San Juan during the Xmas season, and Old San Juan can get a bit busy, which can be a bit challenging at night to find free parking if you have a car rental (there is a parking lot next the building but we did not want to spend the extra money, but I think it's not very expensive). Overall, I would highly recommend La Puntilla as a place to stay. Olivia also was prompt to return our security deposit, and was always very nice. -

We have stayed in OSJ many times and this so far is our favorite 1bedroom apt. The location is excellent; the views are great and the apartment is clean,bright and airy.Olivia and Luis are fantastic to work with and everything is as described. Even the walk up is nice as the stairs are open and with fresh breeze.we definitely hope to stay here again.

The view was wonderful. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants and it's very close to the trolley stop. It's four flights up--there's no elevator, but we were told upfront. You can see resident kitties in the courtyard. Luis was very accessible and Cristian was nice enough to come find us when the taxi left us at the wrong entrance. Comfortable bed and very nicely furnished. There is aC in the bedroom, but not in the living room (we were told about this also upfront), so we opened the doors. If you don't care about air conditioning in the living room, it would be five stars, since it's a nice condo in a great location.

This was our first time renting a condo instead of a hotel and we were skeptical. We thought either we get there and have a great condo, just like the pictures show...or we will be out $400 dollars! Fortunately for us, our experience was wonderful. The condo is true to the pictures. The location is very good for those that want to stay in Old San Juan. In fact, it is perfect for an evening stroll through the Paseo de La Princesa. We didn't think we would need to use the washer/dryer but it came in handy. Since we were a bit lazy getting up, it was nice to have a fridge and microwave for a quick breakfast before we went out. The view from the balconies was beautiful. We really enjoyed that. Our only recommendation would be that the owner provides a box fan or stand up fan to help move the air more in the living room area. The a/C in the bedroom is great but I guess at the time of year we went, there wasn't too much of a breeze so it could get hot in the living room. Also, if you are not able to go up stairs, this may not be the place for you as there are quite a few flights of stairs. For us it was perfect because we needed to work off some of the delicious Puerto Rican food and rum we consumed! The condo was clean and had all the items we could have needed. Dishes, pots, pans, hair dryer, towels and even beach towels. The decor is also very nice. Not too much furniture but just right for what you might need. Overall, it was great. We would stay there again. Puerto Rico was a perfect trip for our 20th!

We were there for one week and we could'nt chosen a better place. The condo was very clean, equiped with necessary things, very clean and modern. Old San Juan has lot to offer and many places are walking distance, very convenient. We like to go back again and stay there. The owner is very nice, very informative and helpful. Christian is great, even helped us taking our luggage up.

This condo was everything and more than what we expected. The view we had from the balconies were impeccable. It was comfortable and clean. We loved staying in La Puntilla. It was a great location. You can go anywhere walking in Old San Juan. Minutes away from San Juan airport and all activities we wanted to do. It was so hard to leave because I felt at home. I would recommend this condo to all of my friends and family. The next time I visit PR, I hope it will be available because I will definitely stay there again.

We loved our 2-night stay at La Puntilla! A friendly staff person met us in the street and carried our bags up the stairs. We had everything we needed in this clean and comfortable apartment. I really appreciated the wonderful cross breeze in the living room with the balcony doors open, and the a/c at night in the bedroom. We had no trouble walking all over Old San Juan and easily found a grocery store, good restaurants, and live music. I would highly recommend this place for couples looking for a place to stay in San Juan.

I stayed at this condo when I visited Puerto Rico last year and loved it. The place was cute, clean, comfortable and convenient. the apartment has a big bedroom, nice sized living room, full kitchen and bathroom and a large balcony with breathtaking views of the harbor. On previous trips I had stayed in resorts in Isla Verde or Condado and ended up spending most of my time there instead of being part of the island and found myself annoyed at having to take the bus or rent a car to to get get to Old San Juan. But with this spot you don't have to deal with any of that. It's located right near the center of the city so you can walk to to all the restaurants, shops and sites. I wholeheartedly recommend this condo, enjoy!

Excelente apartamento recientemente remodelado a precio razonable en una calle tranquila a pasos del Paseo de la Princesa en El Viejo San Juan. Cocina completa con todos los utensilios perfectamente inmaculados, microondas, tostadora, ollas y demás, vajilla completa para 4 personas, sommier nuevo en el dormitorio y sofá cama en la sala, 2 terrazas con vista al puerto de cruceros. Estacionamiento cercado pegado al condominio. En un radio de 2 calles tienen CVS, Wallmart, Supermercado, oficina de turismo, Sr Frog´s, puerto de ferries (USD 1 RT a Bacardi), muchos restaurantes, farmacia, etc, etc, etc.
Muy buena atención por parte de los dueños y preocupación para que todo esté ok en su estadía. Realmente Recomendable.
Sólo tener en cuenta que se encuentra en un 3er piso por escalera y no es apto para gente con dificultades de movimientos o de avanzada edad. -

My boyfriend and I rented this condo in the beginning of March 2012 and had an amazing time. I've traveled to Puerto Rico many times and always prefer Old San Juan over any other neighborhood in the capitol because of everything it has to offer. The apartment complex is located on a very peaceful and safe street within walking distance of all nightlife, museums, and monuments. We enjoyed going out at night and simply walking home. The condo had been recently renovated and everything was spotless and in pristine condition. The view is beautiful and the breeze from the bay is very pleasant and refreshing. There was little need for aC. The kitchen is fully equipped and the furniture is very comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the cruise ships come in and out of the bay. This is a great apartment to have as a home base in PR. We rented a car and took day trips to other parts of the island and were able to easily park in a secure and affordable parking lot right next to the apartment building. I would definitely recommend this short-term rental to anyone traveling to San Juan and looking for an affordable, comfortable and clean place to stay.

The apartment is located in picturesque Old San Juan, just a few mintes walk from the port, restaurants, events, even CVS. Cruise ships' arrivals and departures are visible close up from the balcony, as is the bay and many old buildings.
The apartment has been recently remodeled, and so is a notch above what one might expect to find in the midst of this area, and at the price. We had a great time. It is a perfect place for a vacation, business trip, even honeymoon.
