Located on Playa Escameca 14 Km south of San Juan del Sur. Playa Escameca is a well preserved paradise with sea turtles nesting almost nightly. The waves in front of the beach offer great surf for beginners to intermediate surfers. A short walk north and you are at the well known surf break of Playa Yankee famous for its wedgie barrels.

We stayed in the master bedroom . It had a great deck with a hammock overlooking the beach. The sound of the pounding surf eases you into a peaceful sleep and gives you a thunderess welcome in the morning. Easy walk to the beautiful beach . Kitchen area opened to a wide deck. You could enjoy the privacy of your own cabin or enjoy the company of others in the main living area. Beautiful sunsets.

Having come to Casa Ola for a wedding in June, I had no idea what to expect. What I found was absolute paradise. A quiet beach where our only company was the fishermen, a horse, and the crabs. The house is spectacular; it's screened walls allow for a constant ocean breeze, and the view to the mountains of Costa Rica is unparalleled. Tyson is such a great host. Gonzalo is the best tour guide I could ever hope for, and his family was so nice to take us in and allow us to live the Nica life for an all to short 8 days. I cannot wait to spend a month there. You will surely not forget the experience nor the fine, friendly people who make your stay so enjoyable.

Have you ever wanted to 'get off the grid' completely and enjoy a vacation like you should?? Well you certainly have the opportunity at Casa Ole!
With an absolutely breathtaking spot on the Nica coast on basically you're own private beach, this spot cannot be beat for those looking to escape! You have access to a personal chauffeur and tour guide (Gonzalo) who is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet, cook you fish for dinner caught by him that day.
The reason for our trip was to get married (came with just bride, groom, our son, and two friends), and we couldn't have picked a better spot. We were married on the point overlooking the beach Casa Ole is set on, and had the celebration on the beach with a bon fire and a stunning sunset. Just absolutely amazing!
It's just a surreal experience...I can't wait to go back!

With Casa Ola, you have to see it to believe it!!
There's nothing i can write here to do it justice. I just had one of the best weeks of my life in total paradise.
1/2 mile stretch of private beach, check.
Personal tour guide, Gonzalo. He helped cook us some local cuisines, drove us around, and showed us the local scene in San Juan Del Sur, check.
There's absolutely nothing i would have changed about this trip. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves is unbeatable. The surf was incredible while we were there and everyone was super friendly. The walk to the beach is literally 50 or less steps down a cool stone path.
Gonzo, Tyson, and Riley - thanks for the trip of a lifetime!! Boom

This Beach House is an extremely special place, with no other homes on the beach itself, or even close by, you have total privacy unless you count the howler monkeys in the trees! There is surf right out front, or a short walk around the bend to Playa Yankee. I have only the best memories from staying here, and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway in the San Juan del Sur area.

I was fortunate enough to stay with Tyson and his family two years in a row for the holidays. I have traveled to many different parts of the world and I must say that nothing has been quite as breathtaking as the immaculate private beach that Casa Ola has to offer. I was very impressed with the entire house and have never felt more at peace anywhere else. Tyson is a wonderful host and always makes sure his guests are happy. Hands down...most beautiful place I have ever been. Thank you Tyson :)

I am Tyson's sister and we stayed at the beach house last winter during the holiday season. I was once again delighted by the beach house. Whether you like to relax in a hammock, surf, swim, or suntan on the beach this is the perfect spot! It is quiet, secluded, beautiful, and charming. There is nothing more relaxing then lying in a hammock on the porch reading a good novel.
It's a great place for a romantic get-a-way or to have a family reunion. The place is always clean, and the beds comfortable. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful, and the hardest part is having to leave.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend their holidays in a stress free paradise on the beach. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. -

I was lucky enough to stay in this house for 2 week in april of 2010. It was not nearly long enough; I personally would like to live there. The beach is perfect, the staff is awesome and the house is amazing. This is physical paradise.

My family, 3 grown sons with their partners and my 2 daughters along with my wife have visited Tyson's on 2 separate occasions. We had the awesome vacation both times! The shells on the beach, the sunsets, the river, the waves ... my kids love surfing... make this an almost unreal experience. The first time we were there the house had solar power issues that forced the owner to make a special effort to keep the ice coming. The next year the house had been plugged into Nicaragua Hydro which romoved this rustic touch...but made my wife and daughters happy! We are going to see Tyson again in 2012.

My friends and I stayed at "Casa Ola" for a week looking for a nice get-away vacation on the beach. The beach house was perfect! It is probably the most relaxing place I have ever been too. Something about it just makes you melt into the tropical surroundings and what worries you have melt away with it. We had to get some supplies, but once we did we could completely relax, surf, dine, walk on the beach and what turned into our favorite activity, horseshoes!
It can be hard to know what a place will be like from a website but Casa Ola exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back! We just wish there were more places like this everywhere!
