With the opions of visiting historical and cultural places such as Paestum temples 600 B.C. Pompei,and Velia. Or driving up into the mountains and national Park. Or taking the Metro mare across to the Amalfi coast and Capri in high season or driving down to Positano .
The apartments are in walking distace to the Port of San Marco where there are fishing boats and leisure boats and boats to hire for a trip around the island of Licosia in the Marine Park. Deep sea diving , fishing , and leisure trips are available from here In July and August Metro Mare provides a service to Capri, Amalfi Coast and down to Palinuro.
In San Marco village you can find a selection of shops ,bars and restaurants. As well as a chemist and Doctor surgery.
The next village down 2 kilometers away has a larger selection of shops bars,and restaurants with seafront walk. In both village squares outside entertainment is arrange regularly in the season , such as music , markets and fairs.
The town of Castellabate on the Hill is the Medival village ,here often there is fairs and musical and cultral entertainment. There are fantastic views over the sea and mountains across to Capri and down the coast

  We have only stayed in the downstairs apartments, which are comfortable, and easily large enough for two people. The vista from the rear is of olive groves to the front, with a glimpse of the sea to the right hand side. The Palma family members are all very friendly, and all speak English. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are a mine of local information. The apartments are cleaned to a very high standard between lettings. The family live elsewhere, but are contactable by phone or text. The owner pops in now and again, to make sure that all is well, but our experience is that you are generally left alone to get on with your holiday. The nearest shops and Supermarket are 5 minutes away by car, or about 10 minutes at a brisk walk. It's not a bad idea to visit the supermarket on the way in, to pick up essentials, as these may not be present in the apartment. The property is situated fairly close to the main road, but this has never caused a problem whilst we have been in residence. We have stayed in these apartments 5 times, over the last two years, and would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments. Access to the property is via a fairly steep downwards sloping, twisty road. No problems, so long as you take your time.
