This is a first floor apartment between two offices. The gorgeous granite counters are black and the bar is Texas State red. The vessel sink in the bathroom is a sparkling gre...en and gold on black granite. Beautiful tiled floors throughout! It is tastefully furnished with relaxed lodge style furnishings, leather sofa, as well as, leather dining chairs. The smallest detail has been considered.

The apartment has a large kitchen with granite counters and bar with new appliances including built-in microwave, ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bath features a tiled over-sized shower, granite vanity and vessel sink. Bedrooms and Living Area have solid, comfortable furnishings, quality linens with ceiling fans in each room. Living room has satellite service on a 32" Flat Screen TV, High speed internet WiFi, All utilities included.

Additional Location Information

Right in the heart of downtown but 2 blocks from the noise of the square. The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is across the street where all of the large City festivals are held. There are many restaurants, bars, and the grocer all within a few blocks.

There is construction on the street this building faces and in the vicinity making vehicular access more difficult. However, the downtown area is generally safe.

San Marcos is a wonderful place to live and visit. Whether you are coming for a special event, tubing the rivers, shopping at the outlet mall or pilot training at Redbird Skyport, this is a perfect choice for extended stay.

This is a 5000 sf building constructed in 1967 and historically occupied with 3 two bedroom apartments upstairs and commercial space downstairs. I purchased the property in 2012, remodeling the upstairs and dividing the downstairs into three units, one of which is my office, as part of a complete renovation. It is less than a city block to the river and the outdoor stage where Sights and Sounds is held each year. There is only one block between the apartment and the university campus. It is an easy stroll to Strahan Coliseum, the Performing Arts Theater, downtown square, grocery, and some of the best restaurants San Marcos has to offer.

  I travel about 20 weekends a year, stay at many resorts and never have I been struck the way I was.
  The place is beautiful inside, totally breathe taken when I first walked in. The location is great, walking distance from the river, parks, restaurants and shops. The 2 bedrooms are clean and private. The kitchen and dining area has room for all of us to hang out without having to climb around each other; space is not an issue. I will refer my family, friend and clients to check it out.
