La Bodega Casa Rural has four cottages with a swimming pool, set in attractively laid out gardens, with sun terraces, sun loungers, barbecue and patio areas.

La Bodega was converted from an old wine vinery and farmhouse and is situated in San Miguel, a typical old rural Canarian town in the south of Tenerife. It is 15 minutes from the Reina Sofia international airport and 600 metres above sea level offering spectacular views to the sea and surrounding countryside.

La Bodega is far enough away from the major tourist areas but close enough to enjoy the facilities. If you play golf there are two golf courses, Golf del Sur and Amarill...a Golf just 15 minutes away. The principle tourist areas of the south, Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos with their superb beaches are no more than 20 minutes away the delightful El Medano with kite and wind surfing just 15 minutes away, not forgetting the pine forests, mountains and Canarian villages that are on our doorstep.

Bougainvillea cottage is one of of four delightful cottages at La Bodega. Each cottage is unique with different styles, furnishings and fabrics. They have fully fitted kitchens with ovens, microwaves, fridges, crockery, utensils, irons and ironing boards, satellite television/ radio with DVD and safes.

There are three double bedrooms and one twin bedroomed cottage. The choice of individual cottages is based on availability, at time of reservation. Bougainvillea has a large sitting room, with fully fitted separate kitchen / and dining area which looks on to the courtyard.

The high ceiling is timbered in the typical Canarian tradition and the walls have been plastered showing exposed stone. There is an arch which leads off from the sitting room to the large kitchen and bedroom.

  Splendidly relaxing venue for a winter break. Nice to be away from from the popular tourist areas.Typically Spanish village with little English spoken, but very friendly inhabitants. Good local places to eat in walking distance although all are exceeded by the cooking of mine host, should you desire. Easy to find from the airport,
  The cottage is roomy and very well fitted and Sheila and Ray are excellent hosts.

  Eine traumhafte anlage mit sehr geplegten, sauberen Wohnungen, einem fantastischen Garten mit Pool und unbeschreiblich herzlichen und hilfreichen Eigentümern. Die anlage besteht aus einem beeindruckend restaurierten alten Hof. Als ob man hinter dem Tor in eine andere Welt eintauchen würde.
  In der Nähe befindet sich ein sehr leckeres und atmosphärreiches Restaurant - hat man aber keine Lust zum ausgehen und selber kochen, kann man bei der Besitzerin sehr feine Speisen bestellen und sie auf der Terasse mit dem unvergesslichen ausblick genießen. Wir haben uns etwas für unsere ankunft bestellt und es war fantastisch. Die Besitzer bieten auch eine angenehme Weinauswahl an - eine Flasche hat auf uns bereits als Empfangsgeschenk gewartet - nette Überrachung. Zu dem Essen ein Traum!
  Abgeschirmt von dem kommerziellen Touristentrubel, wenn man auf dieser Seite von der Insel seinen Urlaub verbringen will und mit dem auto die Insel erkunden möchte. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!
