Main house built in 1970 by VW guru John Muir (How To Keep Your Volkswagen Alive, cir.1968), the house has a large spacious living area (40'x30'=1200 square feet approximately) includes living room with large fireplace (gas), dinning area, kitchen, breakfast nook, and a queen size bed and a fold out couch. Lots of light. Long flowing curtains from ceiling to floor to give more privacy. Broadband Internet available. You need to bring a lap top to access Internet. We do not provide a computer.Master bathroom includes shower, well lighted mirror, and large walk-in closet. The second bedroom (upstairs) has a king-sized bed (or two twin beds depen...ding on configuration selection) with it's own bathroom and closet.

The third bedroom is the cabaña with a king-sized bed (or two twin beds depending on configuration selection) and it's own bathroom. It can sleep up to seven people, but is not recommended for families with infants or very young children due to open stairs.

No personal laundry is available. Personal laundry can be picked up by the 'La Pila' laundry service in the morning and have it back by the late afternoon or next morning. There is also the lavanderia 'Arco Iris' in the Pasaje Allende but you have to take it to them.Read more

Additional Location Information

House is centrally located in historic San Miguel de Allende. Right up the street is gift shopping for arts and crafts and the main food market. The jardin (main square) is only a short five block walk from the house and no hills to climb. Most restaurants are within walking distance and a taxi is only about $35.00 pesos ($3.25 usd) if you need to go further or you require a ride due to medical conditions. There are theaters and a library (with books in English) very close by and the local San Miguel Gringo newspaper is called 'La Atencion' which is available all over town.

* Rates are for the first 2 people. Add $50/week or $100.00/month per person up to 6 people for the main house. This does not apply to children under 7 years of age.* Holiday Weeks ADD $100: Semana Santa (Easter week), Fiestas in September, Christmas & New Years. Summer Special rates. Rent two weeks or months get third week or month half price.

Deposits;
Security deposit of $200.00 USD required for all rentals.$250.00 USD phone deposit required.All deposits to be returned in-part, or in-full, after house and phone bill have been reviewed from your stay. This usually takes up to two weeks for security deposits and up to six to eight weeks for phone deposits. Tel-mex takes a month to get the bill to us.


Cancellation;
If you cancel your reservation with more than 60 days before the start date of your reservation you will be refunded 50% of your rental deposit, and you forfeit your security deposit. If you cancel with less than 60 days before your start date, you forfeit all your rent AND deposits.
