on a hill overlooking the little town, 15 minutes walk downhill to Centro. San Miguel is four hours drive east of Guadaljara, four hours drive northwest of Mexico City. It is a safe and peaceful town with great restaurants, shops, galleries, and an active art and cultural schedule.

Additional notes from owner
rental for house includes all utilities, however if you choose to heat the pool, the cost of propane for the pool boiler is for your account, to be paid at the end of your stay. Actual cost depends on nightime temperatures, and whether you cover the pool when not in use. A rough estimate would be about $80 per week. Please let us know if you would like us to pre-heat the pool before your arrival (takes at least 24 hours to heat up) so that it is ready for you.
Gratuities for House Staff are not included in rental. They are totally a function of your experience and how well you were treated. I'm confident that "Chila" the housekeeper, Don Trini, the Gardener, and Jose,the PoolGuy will do a good job. If you choose to acknowledge them, $20-40 each for Chila and Trini per week, and $10-20 for Jose as an average "Propina" [Tip] at the end of your stay would be most appreciated.

Review: Wonderful view from this house which overlooks the city and has lots of charming flower filled outdoor living spaces and elegant interior rooms. Owner and staff were very helpful .We walked down to town each day and up as well, which was very good exercise but cabs are cheap and plentiful and we took those when we bought groceries or at night. This house could easily take a family as there is a separate attached bedroom and 2 other large bedrooms. -

My wife & I really enjoyed our week stay at Casita del Sol. It had everything we were looking for and more. Spacious indoors home with all the amenities, with very nice, private outdoor living areas. Plenty of room for two couples or a large family. My biggest concern was not being close enough to Centro, but it's a pleasant walk (downhill) and we enjoyed the exercise. Although we loved SMa, it was nice to get away from the hustle-bustle and noise of the town at the end of the day.

Very briefly...The house and amenities were just as described...the house, spacious with a magnificent view...beautiful pool...and wonderful location...The support staff, very friendly and helpful...Highly recommended...(If you book, just leave us a future week)
