Our standard suites are cozy and comfortable and are just perfect for a couple looking to get away from the hustle of the work a day world and spend some quiet paradise. These units are economically priced and is tastefully decorated with all tiled floors, large walk-in shower, one queen bed or two twins, small stove, refrigerator and a table with chairs for two.

Good security, 2.5 miles from town so we recommend a golf cart if you like going into town. Friendly staff. Dive shop and small convenient store next door. Only two restaurants in walking distance. Nice pool and outdoor area.

I had a wonderful 3 weeks at this condo. It was very relaxing. Suya Tours and Ramons Diving was very accommodating to pick me up at the dock each morning. I experienced 26 dives and the condo was great for washing off my SCUBA gear, relaxing in the hammock, and cooking on the grill. I did some fishing and had some good meals from the fish I caught off the dock. The management was kind and courteous and maintained a high level of privacy during my stay, but was available if needed. I hope to return to this condo in the future. Thanks to the owner(s) and management for a great stay. Hope to see you in the future.

Loved it here, the only problem was feeling the bed and pillows weren't as comfortable as I'd like, and I would get a one bedroom not a studio next time. Everything else was great. So beautiful! The people were amazing and I felt safe here. It is in a great location. Had one of my best vacations ever!

We loved our stay at Caribe Island! The only problem was that the suite did not have a few kitchen items. The staff was efficient at getting us what we needed in a timely manner! We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you Eric and Ana!

Staff was extremely helpful location was great only small complaint was that each individual condo is outfitted differently because of ownership our unit had minimal supplies eg 3 plates 2 glasses 3 of each cutlery items etc the outside patio furniture needs to be updated as well brittle plastic lawn furniture that breaks easily our neighbors husband actually had a chair break and hit his head on the cement wall other than these minor issues the stay was fantastic would highly recommend this location

The condo shown in the photographs was not the condo we were given. We paid for a week's stay in the listed condo #260316 on the Vacation Rentals By Owners (Vrbo) website. However, once we arrived management on the property placed us in a different, substandard condo. We were told that the condo that we agreed to rent was not available - that the owner had reserved a different condo for us through a different vacation rental company (not Vrbo). The owner did not return our calls or the calls of property management to resolve the issue. So we were stuck with a substandard unit with no other options (It was spring break, peak season). Ambergris Caye is a small island and all of the nice resorts were fully booked. The property itself, Caribe Island Resorts, is very nice. It is right on the beach and is very well-kept. It is 2.5 miles from town (a 15-min. ride on the $250/week golf cart rental). The property manager seemed nice and seemed sympathetic to our situation, but maintained that there was nothing he could do since the owner of the condo specifically reserved the condo that we were given. Nothing in the listing stated that we might be given a substitute condo.
Although the exterior of the property was very nice, one of the owners was doing renovations and the windows were also being replaced in several of the units. Everyday for half the day we had to listen to the grinding of loud power tools as we lounged by the pool or took a nap in our condo. The condo we were supposed to get is a first floor condo. We were placed in a condo on the third floor. Inside the condo the situation just got worse. The refrigerator had rust all over it. There were stains on both sides of the sofa cushions. The metal pans on the stove were covered in foil. The bedroom had no curtains or shutters. We had to hang a raggedy blanket over the window for privacy. Every item in the condo looked like it came from a garage sale. The sheets/blanket in the bedroom were very thin - reminiscent of military-issued bedding. The pots & pans in the kitchen were so cheap that I could bend the metal easily with my hands. The listing said there would be a HD television. Not so. The condo has potential as the view from the balcony is spectacular. With a small investment, it actually could be nice. Be aware that you may not get the condo advertised. Had we known that, we would have made reservations elsewhere. -

Just a step up from a hostel but more expensive. We're most disappointed with the management in the U.S. who botched our confirmed reservation and falsely represented the place as something more. Much of Belize is this way. Visit Play del Carmen, Mexico, instead, and dive and snorkel in Cozumel.
