Vancouver IslandGreat location
Left on 02/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Two couples stayed here in Feb. 2013. The unit is very well equipped, great location and overall perfect for San Pedro. It is at the quieter end of the town. The pool is refreshing, but does have a lot of chlorine. Everyone who was staying at the resort was very friendly and we made a lot of new friends.
You can walk to town with out a problem and the docks are close by to arrange your fishing or diving/snorkeling.
There is always a breeze from the ocean so it never gets too hot. There are some wonderful little bakeries close by.
We used the bikes to go on the beach path north which was wonderful. We did not rent a golf cart but opted to walk or ride our bikes every where. That way we could justify the wonderful bakeries :).
All in all we would stay there again, and hope to do so next year. -

Calgary, AlbertaQuiet and cozy condo to chill out in
Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in November 2012
My husband and I stayed at #9 Oasis del Caribe in November 2012. Jan, the owner, was very efficient and easy to book with. The condo itself although small, offers every necessity for a lovely stay. The wrap around covered balcony offers views over the ocean (slightly obscured by the palm trees) and swimming pool. There is a washer/dryer in the main bedroom which, in our opinion, is a big plus as we like to travel light. You cannot drink the water but a water cooler (hot/cold) is provided and the best place to purchase water bottles (B$4) was at the lovely bakery, Casa Pan Dulce (5 min walk) if you don't mind carrying the bottle! The two bikes provided were put to great use - cycling along the beach is best. Despite being at the quieter end, it is a pleasant walk along the beach to reach the main streets of San Pedro with its shops and restaurants.
We were unable to use the wi-fi (password not recognized) but was able to use wi-fi provided by the majority of restaurants so it didn't become a huge issue.
Would recommend a special night out at the Hidden Treasure Restaurant (they will pick up/drop off). The food is great and the ambience perfect.Response from Janis L Johnson - 01/05/2013

Thank you for your kind review and I'm happy you had a great stay. We have had intermittent issues with the WiFi and have Gloria's contact information should this occur from time to time. I apologize for that and for future guests, contacting Gloria (or me directly), we will get it corrected within a short period of time.

Oak Hills, CABest 3 weeks, ever!
Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed in the condo for three weeks, and loved every minute. While located slightly North of town, you are absolutely walking distance to many places to eat, scuba shops, bars and shops.
We loved hanging out at Wayo's Beernet Bar, just two doors down. We dove and booked all of our tours through Chuck and Robbies, just a short stroll down the beach. Since we were not able to get wifi at the condo, we took our tablet to the bar to use theirs (at no cost). I did try to pick up a wifi signal, both at the back of the pool area, and in the condo, but was unable to do so.
It was great having the washer/dryer. We were able to stay for three weeks, and only packed a weeks worth of clothing.
There is a guest book, where previous guest leave tips and suggestions, that was very helpful.
The owner was great. She emailed us a lift of suggestions prior to our departure, and was available when we had a slight issue during our stay. Through user-error, we locked ourselves out of the safe, lol. She was able to get the problem resolved, even tho she was in the states at the time.
We loved coming back from our scuba trips and jumping in the pool! Love, love, love that pool!
The bikes that we available to use were great. We used them most days of our stay. If you use the bikes, it's easier to ride along the beach than thruough town.
We had a wonderful trip, loved the condo, would definately recommend and use again.

Thank you for your kind review and I am thrilled you had a great time! I do apologize for the internet issue and am following up as to why that happened. The contact number for Gloria is our main person for any questions or issues you have during your stay. She would be the person to help resolve this issue and if she couldn't she would contact me for assistance. I will be sure to add specifically internet problems to our notes for renters as it is quite an inconvenience for most these days not to have access to the internet. I do know the Beernet you are talking about. It's a great place to have a beer and watch the people along the beach. Very fun and social!
Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. We love to hear about the things you did and the fun you had! -

Okay, I'm not Greg; I'm his mother-in-law. Greg & my daughter, Cynthia, were kind enough to invite me to share a week with them on ambergris Caye. They are both scuba divers and the condo was ideally located near dive shops. Everything is in walking distance. Condo was very clean and had all the amenities one could hope for - washer & dryer, modern kitchen appliances (including full size range & refrigerator, hair dryers, beach towels, cleaning supplies, etc. The only think I personally missed was a place to hang my newly purchased hammock.

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We had a wonderful trip! I would say we had the time of our life. The condo was very nice. Here are some things we did.
On Sunday we rented a golf cart and explored a little, had lunch at Captain Morgan's. Monday went to the mainland and went to Xunantunich (mayan ruins)and then cave tubing.
Tuesday, fishing and snorkelled some. Caught 16 fish mostly snappers, good eating. Wed. went to Ho Chan and shark ray alley. Thru. went back to Ho Chan, because we liked it so much. We always used the same guide for fishing and snorkelling, because the price was good, and it was just me and Shelly, no large groups. Other places we liked were Fidos, Carumbas, and Estelle's . It was an incredible time and although its always good to be home, we just want to go back!

Dallas, TXWonderful Vacation
Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My husband, girl friend and I recently rented this wonderful 2 bedroom condo. What a great vacation we had. It was great value for our money! The condo is right across the street fom the ocean with a great view. Check in was easy, condo was clean, neighbors were friendly. about 1 mile from town where he walk is easy, beautiful and full of opportunity to chat with locals if you want. This is truely one of the friendliest places I've ever been. We went fishing (catching our own bait too) snorkling, (swam with a manatee, sharks, turtles and other cool fish and just had a blast My favorite memory was taking a sunset catamaran cruise where one of the guides dove overboard, retrieved conch and made fresh servechi for us while we drank rum punch and danced with each other.
Bring some of your own food (spices, coffee, cereak) because prices are high on the island, but it will be a vacation you will never forget! I highly recommend this and the vacation rental here is perfect. The condo also overlooks the pool, there are grocery stores, bars, localbreakfast taco stanwithin a 30 second to 2 minute walk. You can't beat the value and it's really really nice. The owners will send you great advise before you leave on your trip about what to bring, etc.

The condo was wonderful. Great view of the water. The location was perfect - close enough to walk to everything in town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We especially enjoyed using the bikes. The water cooler with a real plus and money saver over buying bottled water.

Stayed here for 8 days in March. The location was perfect. Easy to walk into town to eat or just pick up some groceries. The condo has 2 bikes that are included with the rental , which is a nice bonus. The views over the Caribbean from the patio made it a great place for morning coffee. Everything worked well in the condo. The appliances are like new. The pool was never busy but always refreshing and clean. The grounds were well kept. We loved our stay here.

We had never been to Belize - and even had a few reservations about this trip. We now can't wait to go back! It was the most wonderful week - in the best location. We are daily walkers, and this environment provided perfect strolls along the waterfront. (The smells from the bakery a block away, and the locals setting up their daily "farmer's market" treats made getting up early every morning worthwhile!) Everything you need is within walking distance - but the golf cart rental to tour the whole area is highly recommended. All of the restaurants were fabulous -food, service, and price. Being able to cook in this vacation home is a real plus, as well - and having cocktails on the balcony each night was a treat. What a view! All the amenities, including cable t.v., are provided, and we found this condo to be nearlys as modern as our own home. We have traveled to many countries, but the people of ambergris Caye are the friendliest we've encountered - and, if you're at all concerned about safety, it's not an issue. We were looking for total relaxation, comfort, and simple pleasures and we were not disappointed.

This beautiful condo had it all and was close to everything! The ocean breeze and view was incredible, not to mention a fabulous balcony perfect for Happy Hour. We traveled with 2 small children and loved the clean, spacious pool right out the front door which we basically had to ourselves. Many delicious restaurants, snorkling, fishing excursions, and grocery shopping all a close walking distance down the beach. Renting a golf cart to explore the island is also highly recommended. The local service staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. Will definately be back.

We have had the oppurtunity to stay in this condo several times, and will be staying there several more. It is in a great location, close to everything. The condo has everything you need. The courtyard, and swimming pool is lovely. The view is breathtaking and there is a great balcony that goes from the front (oceanview)to side (pool view) Sunrises are amazing. I would highly recommend this place. We e have been to San Pedro 5 times. There is so much to do and there is a dock in front of the condo to be picked up for all your fun adventures. Don't miss the oppurtunity to stay in this great place and miss out on the best vacation of your life. Thats WY we keep coming back. Jan Johnson is so helpful with any questions.
