Done in the traditional Belize style of bright fabric and mahogany furnishings, these units feature a single bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed with an additional queen size sleeper sofa. I have been coming to this property since 2009 and just love it! Everytime I return I learn something new about it. Now I know how the Internet works (outside on the porch on my iPhone), where to place the trash (near Pelican Bay property), where to get my clothes washed (JJ's across from Marina's) and have a fave cab driver (Pablo Sosa).
I look forward to the next time.

the apartment had only 3 chairs meanwhile we were 4 person. The fridge was not clean. All linens needed to be cleaned as it was really dirty, same for pillows. No cleaning service provided. The shower tap needs to be cleaned. There was no enough bedsheets to be changed within the 10 days -only 1 set for 2 beds. No laundry service. No bar/restaurant service in the condo. The neighbored beach was very dirty.

we stayed at the resort for 9 days in feb. on arrival we found that there we restrants and a tour service within a stones throw of the resort, we also loved the location for its quiet area and we found tons of conch shells everywhere. did a lot of scuba diving and would highly recommend amigos del mar for their dock pickup and freindly staff.
the locals were warm and inviting and there was lots to do, snorkeling was right at the pier and we saw lionfish, stingrays and lots of reef fish right there. the coolest thing was the starfish which one local boy named "patrick" the trip to dive the great blue hole was a long boat ride but worth it in every way, we also did the lamanai tour and loved it.
the only thing a bit different was the seagrass that washed up on shore evey day but the grounds keeper kept it cleaned up .
the resort was clean and well furnished and everything we could have wanted.
we would go back again in a heartbeat. -

The weather was perfect. The unit 27 although not an ocean front was quiet and suited us perfectly. Our only complaint was with the bed - quite firm. We met some wonderful fellow vacationers, enjoyed the pool and the spacious palapa for meals, Larry and Gail's game nights, and a cool place to spend out of the sun. Wireless was available in the unit, but was slow and sometimes unavailable once you did get a signal(usually had to go to the palapa). Snorkeling at Hol Chan was amazing. Overall a great holiday.
