Situated about a mile north of the Boca del Rio on a narrow stretch of Ambergris Caye, this private property in an exclusive area of fine homes and vacation properties provides views of the Caribbean Sea, its own pool, and a private pier extending into the lagoon behind the home that allows for easy fishing, watching the sunset, or simply relaxing. The house is unique in the Tres Cocos area for its private swimming pool and only pier extending into the lagoon. The house itsel...f is flanked by vacant lots on either side, as well as to the rear, providing a sense of isolation and privacy; other homes across the street are only partially visible from the front verandah.

The main level includes a bright and spacious living area open to the kitchen and dining area overlooking the pool. The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cooking utensils, dinnerware, etc.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed and private bathroom featuring custom-tiled sink and shower areas. A studio bedroom is located separately below, with a queen-size bed, bath, and kitchenette. This room is easily accessible from the pool deck, and provides convenient storage for cold drinks and snacks.

Because of the property's proximity to the bridge, access to all of the businesses and activities on the island is simple. Within easy walking distance there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to satisfy your needs. Nearby easements allow for easy access to the beach just 150 feet away, providing the best of all worlds for enjoying the water. Golf carts and bicycles can be rented, water taxis are available, and even walking to town can be enjoyed, either on the road or down the beach!

  My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at Casa de Suenos for four weeks in January and February of this year. We were very pleased with the property and liked everything about it ... the cleanliness, the seclusion, the comfort and the pool!!! From our first coffee in the morning on the back deck, surrounded by an endless parade of jungle birds ... to our last Belikin at night at Pirates Treasure Restaurant a short walk down the road (highly recommended) we loved our time on ambergris Caye and if we ever come back we would definitely stay again at Casa de Suenos.

  We stayed at Casa de Suenos for a week's vacation in May. What a beautiful place to go if you want to relax in the sun! The pool, where we spent most of our time, is pristine and very private- no screaming children or fighting for chairs like you find if you go to a pool at a resort, and when you are in the pool you have sunny skies and gorgeous tropical plants surrounding you. To get to and from town is a very easy golf cart ride as the house is not too far from the toll bridge - the "road" gets worse and worse the farther you get from town. The neighborhood was very quiet and there were other nice homes around. The house itself was great for having two couples. It has two separate units- a studio apartment downstairs with queen size bed, large tv (with good channels), bathroom, and kitchenette; and a larger apartment upstairs with a spacious living room, full kitchen (with newer appliances than what we have at home) bedroom, bathroom, den, breakfast nook and deck overlooking the pool. There were no problems with water (we found it to be good enough to drink out of the tap, and the water pressure was good), AC, electricity, smells or bugs like you sometimes find in the tropics- the house is obviously well taken care of, and it has some character. It was nice having the separate units as well because although we were 2 couples there together, we didn't get in each other's way and had our own spaces but still got to enjoy being there together. Near the house there are a few bars and restaurants in easy walking distance if you don't feel like going into town but want to get out for a little while, or just don't feel like cooking. And if you want to go out scuba diving you can ask to have the dive boat pick you up at the dock at the palapa bar which is very close. We were a little nervous before we went about not being on the beach but it turns out the beaches are not that great for swimming anyway, there is quite a bit of seaweed. I highly recommend this house!
