Description

Our 90 year-old adobe casona,has been fully refurbished into an intimate lodge in the midst of our working vineyard on the outskirts of San Rafael, Mendoza. The well-lighted common area, filled with artisan details and hand-made furniture, features a Santa Fe-style fireplace flanked by banquette couches and a large dining area. Two bedrooms plus extra sleeping on the living room banquettes provide sleeping arrangements for up to 7. All the essentials are included for a comfortable stay including a fully equipped kitchen, bed linens and towels, plus WiFi and satellite television and covered parking.

Beside the house is the huge tree-filled garden featuring a large pool shared by guests and individual alfresco grilling and dining areas under a shaded terrace. Rancho Divino is situated 15 minutes from San Rafael, Mendoza's airport in the farming community of Cuadro Benegas, with easy access to the Wine Routes of Mendoza, Atuel Canyon and Valle Grande, and the lake system of Los Reyunos. Activities abound in this region, known throughout Argentina for its spectacular scenery, regional gastronomy, and vineyards. White-water rafting, paragliding, mountain biking and hiking, horseback trips into the Andes, fishing and boating are but a few suggestions. For more conventional sports, golf and tennis can be played within 2 km of the property.

DUE TO THE DEEP POOL AND IRRIGATION CANALS NEXT TO THE HOUSE, THIS PROPERTY IS NOT APT FOR CHILDREN BELOW THE AGE OF 12.

The cabaña is available for rental from January through May, Argentina's summer and fall seasons, when the weather is warm and dry, or by request only, in July and August, their winter months, when the skiing is great at Las Lenas, just 180 km away. As mentioned, a car is best for getting around the area, but public transportation is also available, just a 15 minute walk to the highway, where buses connect to downtown San Rafael throughout each day.

We are on our property most times, but always have a full time administrator on hand to receive guests, take care of any needs and generally act as our co-host.

No smoking is allowed inside the units; only outside with use of ashtrays and proper disposal of cigarette butts. Keep the green areas clean.
Please respect other guests in the shared areas of Rancho Divino; the pool, the gardens and the private parking. Clean any trash from the shared spaces, and upon departure leave personal trash in bags. If a pet is approved during the rental, it must be on a leash when outside the unit.
