I stayed with my wife and some friends at Emy's apartment in May.
The apartment was very much home from home, it is spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped. The terrace was fantastic, we had breakfast there every morning.
Quiet, but within easy reach of local shops, pinchos bars, restaurants, and only 5 min. walk from the beach.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. -

We spent a week at this lovely location and highly recommend it. The owner, Emy, is friendly and helpful with excellent information about places to eat and pinchios bars.
The beach is 5 minutes walking distance and a nice walk along the promenade to the City Centre.
One of the best apartments we have stayed in. We would definitely recommend this apartment. -

My family stayed at this apartment on aug 2012 and we really enjoyed it a lot. It is very big, clean and nicely decorated.
We had breakfast every morning on the terrace!
The area has everything, and a "tapas bar" called "Labenardina" that is out of this world! Emy, thanks for your tip!.

I have been to beautiful San Sebastian several times and this apartment made our stay the best ever. We usually stay in hotels and would recommend this apartment over the hotels. The apartment had everything to make our stay feel like our home away from home. Beautifully furnished and very clean. It was located close by the beaches, restaurants and the city centre. Emy and her staff were very helpful. We would recommend this apartment to our friends and/or family for their next stay!

Absolutely great apartment with ideal facilities for the three of us. Only 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. Emy was extremely welcoming and took the time to show us all aspects of the apartment and give us his personal tips: local restaurants, pintxos bars, beaches, out-of-town excursions. Would highly recommend this apartment to others wishing to experience to beautiful San Sebastian.

A most convenient location, equal distance from the beach and all the hottest bars and restaurants, you could not go wrong with this apartment.
The apartment was well appointed with all necessary amenities for an individual or a family. The town centre is a short walk away with the beach just meters from the front door.
The apartment was incredibly clean and presented very well and in the heart of San sebastian this apartment ticks all the boxes. -

This was our first trip to San Sebastian, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere with the beautiful beach and terrific food. Ondaretta is a perfect location - a short walk to the beach, away from the busy town center, and very safe. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The only complaint we had was there weren't adequate utensils or pans to cook dinner in the apartment, and since we were here for a week, a dinner in would have been nice. We were met shortly after arrival and given the introduction to the apartment and some excellent suggestions for markets, restaurants/bars, and sites. We really felt welcome. We explored many of the sites and eateries recommended, and they were wonderful. We loved this apartment and location, and would recommend it.

We were worried that staying in this neighbourhood was too far from the rest of the town, but we couldn't have been more wrong. Ondaretta is a lovely area, safe and quiet. We found it perfect for our relaxing vacation. The point for us in coming to San Sebastian was the food and the surrounding area had some great bars and restaurants. We walked in to the old part aswel and I have to say that San Sebastian's reputation for food is not overstated. The pintxos were my favourite. The apartment was perfect for us, with nice rooms and a good living area. The rooms look over a lovely little park too.

Die Wohnung liegt einfach genial nah zu Ondarreta Strand. Sie ist ruhig und mit allem ausgerüstet, was man in den Ferien braucht. Wir haben alle Vorzüge dieser Wohnung sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder hier Urlaub machen. Alle wichtigen Einrichtungen sind gut zu erreichen. Obwohl es eine Stadtwohnung ist hatten wir immer das Gefühl, im Urlaub zu sein.

Gracias Emy! Hemos pasado tres semanas de lo mas agradable o como yo diria "como en casa"! Y viniendo de alguien como yo que es de Donosti pero vive ya hace tiempo en el extranjero creo que es como mejor lo puedo expresar. El apartamente es comodo, genial situado, tranquilo y en un vecindario de lo mas discreto. Cercano a Todo. A un paso de La Concha. Ideal para la playa o correr por la manana. El autobus delante y... buenisimos restaurantes al lado sin tener que desplazarse hasta la Parte Vieja. En fin ideal para hacer vacaciones en una ciudad. Muchas gracias por tu amabilidad y... por las frutas y verduras de tu huerta!. Volveremos!.

I had already been to beautiful San Sebastian but I had never had such a great experience. The apartment is just perfect, with a personal touch that makes you feel at home. Its location could not be better...right by the beach and in a really fancy neighbourhood just a stroll away from the city centre. One of the best things was to have breakfast in its terrace. The owner was incredibly helpful and her tips as to where to go and do were superb.

Never having been here before, we loved San Sebastian - it would now be close to our favourite holiday destination in the world!
As previous reviews have said, this apartment is in a nice location, though from what we saw, anywhere within a few blocks of any of the beaches in San Sebastian is a nice location. It takes about 30 minutes to walk along the beachside promenade to the old town where most of the action is, but there's a perfect beach within 5-10 minutes walk and a supermarket even closer. Buses nearby into town, but we walked everywhere.
We stayed in this apartment for five nights on a reasonable (but still not cheap) 'last minute' rate. Regarding the apartment itself, our views were mixed. Summarising it all, it had a very 'lived in' feeling to it, which had positives and negatives to it.
Positives
* Booking was easy, negotiation of last minute rate was fine (one agency in San Sebastian we asked seemed to take offence at the request!)
* Arrangements for arrival were straightforward, despite our lack of Spanish requiring hand signals to be used. The guy who met us was good humoured and seemed intent on ensuring we were ok.
* Amenities were as advertised, including full kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, full fridge, oven, etc), washing machine & clothesline, free WiFi. No detergent for the sink or washing power, but both available at the supermarket.
* Car parking on site (underground).
* Emy was helpful with advice when we asked during our stay.
Negatives
* The owner met us 15 mins after arrival. A friend of hers turned up a few minutes later with a camera around her neck. We had driven for 5 hours and were not feeling or looking our best, but after taking the agreed cash payment (incl. bond), and just when we thought they were going to leave us, the owner (Emy) said she needed a photo with us and before we knew it, she was standing with us and her friend had taken a photo. Still partly in shock, my wife asked what she was going to use it for, to which the reply was "we will send it to you on your last day". Suffice to say, this implausible response did not eventuate. We resent having being put in this position - we would happily have obliged if given a full explanation of why they needed the photo up front, with time to decline if we weren't comfortable. If she was concerned about our trustworthiness, we could have provided passport or visa details.
* A lot of the cutlery and crockery was quite dirty (i.e. food scraps still attached), so we cleaned everything before using it. It looked to us like someone's home kitchen, but not someone who cooked at home most nights.
* The living room was quite dark, even with all of the lamps on (some of them weren't working). It left us with the feeling of not wanting to stay at home ... thankfully San Sebastian was good enough that it wasn't a problem.
* TV did not have english channels; this wasn't an issue for us, might be for some.
All in all we would say that with a little more attention to detail and minus the 'photo incident', it could have been a fantastic experience, but it wasn't this time.
Note that the same property appears to be on Tripadvisor under "Ondarreta SS - FriendlyRentals", with the only difference being the manager listed.
We would not recommend this property given the number of suitable alternative options in San Sebastian. -

Great apartment with a superb location. Very roomy, perfect for couples, extended families or girls' getaway! Fully equipped kitchen, large living/dining areas plus a wonderful terrace to enjoy your time, although in San Sebastian you will not stay in for long as there is much to do and see. Wonderful city, amazing food, beautiful beaches! Emy is a great hostess and cannot do enough for you! Highly recommend this property.

We spent the perfect family holidays at this apartment. It is in a great neighborhood, really classy and right by Ondarreta beach. We spent a week in august and had the best of times thanks to the owner Emy that recommended us great places to visit and incredible restaurants and tapas bars. I could definitely say with no doubt that emyrent offers such a 100% guaranteed quality, just as much in its services as in its products. That is to say, the flat we were provided with was spectacular, ans so they were its surroundings. The situation was unbeatable: we were at the city heart! right there, surrounded by best places, best bars, best restaurant, all we wanted was there. In one word: unforgettable! :)
