The holiday home Plaza de Armas is situated in the Old Part of Hondarribia, a pretty fishing village just 18 kilometres away from San Sebastian.

Hondarribia’s Old Part is a real wonder, so much that it was declared Historical and Monumental Landmark. It is one of the best kept Medieval areas in Guipuzcoa offering first hand history.

The square Plaza de Armas is a magic place mainly due to the perfectly preserved Medieval beauty and seaworthy atmosphere. The astonishing Palace of Carlos the Fifth, which nowadays is opened as a National state-run Hotel, is located here as well as the Gothic church of Nuestra Señora del Manzano, a... real gem.

The Plaza de Armas holiday home is a unique accommodation. Although it was totally refurbished recently, the original essence and features have been kept all throughout. This impressive vacation home has all the modern facilities anybody could wish for in a dream holiday accommodation.

It is a four storey house of over 150 square metres enjoying WI-FI ADSL Internet system. On the first floor there is a lounge, a fully equipped modern kitchen and a dining area. There is also a guests’ cloakroom on this floor.

A second lounge with a study area is found on the second floor of the vacation house, as well as the main bedroom and a modern bathroom fitted with a shower cubicle. Both the lounge on the first floor as well as the one on the second floor have a balcony facing the square Plaza de Armas, and a breathtaking view over the sea and the Txingudi Bay.

The main bedroom has a king size bed, large fitted wardrobes and a TV set. It is a bright and tranquil space as it faces the back street.

On the third floor there is a second bedroom fitted with two twin beds, and a second fully equipped bathroom. Next to this bathroom, we find a spacious terrace where there is a table and chairs so that you can relax and enjoy the amazing view while on your holidays in Hondarribia.

There is also a laundry room on the ground floor.

The Plaza de Armas is a lively place where several festive activities take place along the year, such as the Alarde in September or the Medieval market during the second weekend in June. The Hondarribia Blues Festival, celebrated in mid-July, also takes place in this beautiful town, offering high-quality concerts of international level at various stages around the area.

From the square Plaza de Armas is possible to see the sea, the nearby French town of Hendaye and the lower part of Hondarribia. Thanks to these breathtaking views and the full of history and charm location, this is a very special vacation home for those looking for something more than just a pretty and comfortable holiday accommodation.

  El apartamento es espectacular, realmente grande, con un diseño moderno,un equipamiento completo y muy divertido si no importa subir y bajar escaleras (tiene 4 pisos). La ubicación es muy atractiva: en la plaza central del casco histórico, con vistas a la plaza, junto al parador, y con el mar y Francia al fondo. Nosotros alquilamos plaza de aparcamiento a 5 minutos andando porque no se aparca bien por la zona y es de pago. El dueño de la casa es muy atento y amable. Hondarribia, declarada conjunto histórico, es una bella localidad que merece la pena conocer. Íbamos con temor porque el aeropuerto de San Sebastián está allí mismo, pero ni oimos ni vimos ningún avión durante nuestra estancia de 3 días.

  Charming home on a beautifu square in a lovely, historic quarter

  We (4 adults & 1 baby) were very happy with this spacious and charming rental property. The newly renovated home had all the amentities we required for a very comfortable stay (8 days): comfy beds, super shower with great water pressure, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, TV and Wifi
  
  The owner was accomodating (speaks great english), friendly and helpful.
  
  Situated on a square overlooking the bay, the home had lovely natural light and a great view.
  
  Great for someone wanting to be near the beach, but not directly on it.
