      Great apartment

      Bergara apartment 2C is a lovely modern clean apartment in a great location in San Sebastian, which is well equipped.

      A few issues though:
      1. Some of the equipment is quite high-tech and difficult to use if you're not used to it; all that is required is a folder of instructions to help with this. For example, we were not told initially that pots and pans have to be placed on the cooker rings for them to heat up (as a safety feature). This was rectified by the owner sending round a technician to explain this, but a simple a4 sheet of instructions in the apartment would have been easier for all concerned.
      2. During the booking process, I was not allowed to use a Visa card to pay the deposit, which resulted in wasting money on bank fees to do a bank transfer. This was also rectified by FreeRentals, but not before time and money had already been lost.
      3. There was no-one at the apartment at the appointed check-in time to let us in even though this had been arranged the day before. It was only after I rang again that someone showed up, but after we had already waited about 45 minutes.

      Thank you very much for your review.

      We appreciate your indications about a house manual, and we are busy preparing it for all our apartments, as we've checked that unfortunately, the instructions that we give during check.in time aren't enough.
      Regarding the payment, our website always give you an option to pay the reservation's deposit by credit card on line.

      Regarding the checkin time, first of all I'd like to ask you for apologies because we do not make anywone wait for 45 minutes once we've arranged an appointment, but on the instructions says as well, that you need to call the previous day of your arrival to arrange an appointment and you need to call on the same day of your arrival about 1 hour or 30 minutes before your arrival so that the person doing the check-in is at the apartment on time. Beeing the previous day of the inauguration of the International Film Festival, we were very busy and we were expecting a call from every client to be able to do all the check-ins on time, as the clients usually never arrive at the time they expect the previous day.

      We are very sorry for these small misunderstandings, and we hope next time everything goes fluently!!

      We stayed at this apartment for 4 nights in May 2012. It was very clean, very comfortable and very quiet. The blackout curtains were great for sleeping in. It was very central and easy to get to. Would recommend.
