A cosy, comfortable and private vacation house in the picturesque lake resort of San Siro (Santa Maria), where you will immediately feel at home, whatever the time of year and whatever the weather. The detached house sits in enclosed grounds above Lake Como, which is a kilometre away by car or 400m on foot.

This holiday home (180m²) sleeps 8-9 people: the ground floor is entered via a glass conservatory, which has lake views and table and chairs for 8 people. Living room and modern, spacious kitchen/diner (Gaggenau design) with table seating for 12 people, access to the terrace, storage room and access to the basement Taverna. The Tave...rna comprises a living area with satellite TV (SKY) and French windows leading to the garden, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom (bathtub and handheld shower). A mezzanine floor provides 1 bedroom with a double bed and a single bed (and shared bathroom see under). The first floor comprises a bedroom with 1.5 size bed and en-suite bathroom (with shower), and a twin bedroom (single beds) with bathroom (Jacuzzi-style tub) shared with the mezzanine-floor bedroom.

Outside (1000m²), green lawns surround the house bordered with bushes and trees, where you can admire the views over the soothing waters of the lake and mountains beyond. Adjacent to the house is a patio where you can dine under the shade of the pergola. An above-ground swimming pool (6x4m; depth 1m) will keep the kids happy, and the grown-ups cool. The conservatory has a beautiful lake view and table and chairs for 8 people.

In the nearby hamlet of Santa Maria (part of San Siro), only a 5-minute walk away, there’s a local pizzeria and bus stop to take you to other locations. Groceries can be bought 2 km south of the village. If you’re feeling active, the lake provides boat rental, sailing and wind-surfing, as well as panoramic hiking trails that start near the shore. Ferries are the best way to access the lakeside towns and villages; Menaggio, one of the main ferry ports on the lake, is only 6 km from the house and offers a golf course and tennis court, restaurants, a trattoria, grocery shops, bank, post office etc. Como is only 30 km away; its historic town centre, elegant shops, restaurants, cafes, a panoramic promenade, ferry port, and railway station where you can catch a train to Milan, all create a great day out… Altogether a wonderfully comfortable and private house which provides an ideal and safe location for a family holiday.Read more
