Le Scalette is a large lovely apartment part of a 16th century old farm complex. in the Tuscan hills just 10 miles outside of Florence.
It has been completely restored with all modern conveniences but it has retained the wonderful rustic feeling and simple elegance of the old Tuscan farm houses. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the country side, with charming medieval villages dotting the landscape.

A small country road will lead you to the property through vineyards and olive groves.
The village of San Vincenzo a Torri , just a mile away has a small grocery and a bakery, and The Museo Archeologico della Ceramica in the nearby town of Montelupo, for century the centre of ceramic and terracotta is consider one of the most important of its kind.
Located just 10 miles from the centre of Florence, 45 minutes from Siena and the same from Lucca, it is the perfect location to visit all of Tuscany .
Art tours to all major cities in Tuscany, visit tomeuseums, chusches ,castles, small villages , tours of the Chianti region, where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and taste some of the most famous Chianti wines.

The property (semi-detached house) with the lovely garden is very romantic with the country style written all-over it! I loved it - since I am a detail-lover! It has a large working fire-place, the kitchen is small, but fully eqipped. The bedrooms are lovely, however it might be very hot during the summer as they are located in the attic (we stayed there in april/May and we had to make a fire and we asked for the central heating to be turned on). It is located on a very steep hill (18-20%), but it is worth to be up there as it is very quiet. The land-lady is extremely friendly.

Stayed in Scalette apartment for 3 days and had an excellent holiday.
Fabulous location with typical Tuscany style, very clean and the rooms are superior to everything.
The landlady is very nice and pleasent!!!

Patrizia anichini is the consumate host. She made sure every detail was exqusit and comfortable. The loaction is beyond belief. We felt like real Italians and at the same time visitors in a welcoming environment. We can't wait to go back and bring our friends.

Really felt like a dream!! The location so picturesque. The window in our bedroom looking out onto the Tuscan Hills was like a painting!! The villa so traditional and wonderful. It really felt like our home away from home and so comfortable. The location was perfect; enough distancce from the bustling cities, yet convenient to everything. And the topping was Patrizia who could not have been more accomodating.

I stayed here with two friends for a week. There was plenty of sleeping space. My favorite memory is cooking in the kitchen and eating breakfast in the outdoor porch. We had privacy and visibility for the sunrise and sunset. The property was located in the Tuscan hills, encompassed by distant but visible country homes and lush greenery. I felt comfortable running the hilly landscape in the mornings, before the heinous heat. The Property owner Patrizia was more than generous with her helpful guidance of what Italy and Tuscany has to offer. Her English is perfect-she is a former New Yorker; her taste and enthusiasm is a incomparable. I definitely plan on visiting and staying here again. My parents may even stay for their anniversary.

What makes La Scalette unique are the owner's refined touches. From the custom bed linens to the well appointed kitchen we felt at home and pampered!
The area is heavenly--we walked from the home through vineyards and olive groves.
The artist/owner, who lived in the us for some time, speaks perfect English and helped us organize our daily itinerary.
I can't think of a more beautiful area and I am very much looking forward to returning soon! -

We all loved this house, the beauty of the interior, the comfort, the exquisite taste of the owner Patrizia, the porch over looking the long Tuscan views, the quiet country setting yet so close to Firenze and Sienna and all the gorgeous hill towns in between. We have been dreaming of coming back to Patrizia's house for years. And we will!
