I enjoyed our trip and loved how big it was. I also enjoyed being able to cook and having the cookware available. The designing was a bit old fashion, and there were minor issues that would be very easy to repair such as the remote controls continue to break in half and would delay in changing the channels and volume, the broken wine opener was a big inconvenience, in the master room the tub didn't have a stopper that worked so we had to continue to refill the tub just to keep water in it. The comforter in the master room was stained on the underside and could use a washing. Another concern was that none of the vcr/dvd players were hooked up and if you are like me and couldn't figure it out you would just give up and not watch a movie which was the case for me and my toddler. These are all small minor issues and could easily be repair w/o much work from the owner. Overall it was a great stay if you would like to be close to the Baytown Wharf village, but would recommended another place if you would like to be closer to the beach. Wasn't really impress w/ sandestin resort at least on the side we were on. Prob would do it again on the opposite

Turnberry #8551 was one of the best condos and stays at Sandestin that I have experienced. The condo was very clean and updated. It was on the bayside but the trip to the beach was no trouble. The locations was close to the nightlife and restaurants at the Baytowne Village. We didn't know that the condo was upstairs, and there are stairs inside, so renters need to take that in consideration if handicapped.

I had to rent a room from Sandestin to have use of the beach and facilities. I wish that had been made clear to me. Everyone I worked with was lovely!

I am glad that you enjoyed the unit, but you do have full access to the beach and any Turnberry facilities. You are even able to rent beach chairs out by the Hilton on the beach. Please give us a call if you are in a future rental and are having any issues like this.

This is truly a delightful place to stay. All of the comforts of home was available. My husband loved the house so much, he didn't leave the whole three days that we were there. The kids enjoyed the bedrooms and really had a ball. The only one set-back was that the two upstairs bedrooms only had VCRs. The kids weren't able to watch DVD movies at night but they found the disney channel and cartoon network to watch.
Overall, I would give the stay five stars and request it when staying in Destin again. -

Keeping it simple, the Turnberry was awesome. Everyone in our group cannot wait to go back. Clean, large townhouse and very convenient. The fresh cut flowers in the vase was a great touch. 10 out of a possible 10.

The house was very nice. Unfortunately, we had a terrible time getting into it. We had to arrive about midnight, and had called ahead -= they said they would leave a key out but did not. When we called the emergency number, no one answered. We finally got ahold of someone else who was able to come open the office and give us a key - but it took over an hour at midnight sitting in the parking lot with three kids. Then, they forgot to give us the amenity cards. Not a restful vacation.
