Sandpoint Vacation Rentals

The property is located just across the Long Bridge from Sandpoint on a tree-studded lot that slopes gently from Lakeshore Drive to the lake. The trees are old growth cedars and Tamarack pines. There is 150 feet of lake front including a dock, sandy beach, and a fire pit. The low-sloping lake bottom provides for shallow water near the beach that warms up nicely in the summer. The temperature of the water is much warmer than the deep areas of the lake and the bottom is small pebbles rather than mud but best of all, no milfoil infestation!

The main house is a recently remodeled three bedroom, three bathro...om home set up to provide privacy while promoting interaction. Two of the bedrooms are suites (private bathrooms) with separate entrances. The great room includes an open-beam living room with a large stone fireplace, a spacious dining area with a large, family-style table, and an open kitchen.

There is a large surrounding deck to enjoy the unsurpassed views of Sandpoint's night light reflection glimmering on the water. The sunsets and mountain views are fabulous.

A laundry room rounds out the attention to convenience.

The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and settings for 8-10 people.

A bunkhouse-style cabin for the kids is just a few feet from the main house. It is available by arrangement.

We especially enjoy the beach. It is a joy to sit around a fire in the bonfire pit and gaze across the water at the beautiful small town of Sandpoint with Schwitzer ski mountain as a picturesque backdrop. This view is also extraordinary in the early morning hours when the birds are fishing! This is a gest way to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

A walk or jog across the Long Bridge into town is an early morning or evening treat.

Off-street parking is abundant.

Additional Location Information

This property is only about a two miles from Sandpoint, with all that lovely town has to offer. Both winter and summer activities are near, so it has become a base for year round enjoyment. All who visit it have had a wonderful stay and take away fond memories.
This place is unique in that it is on the water, spacious, lends itself to communal living and yet offers privacy from the public and among guests, as well. Early morning drives, bike rides, hikes, or lazy strolls can be habit-forming given the fresh mountain air, beautiful vistas and abundant wild life surrounding the area. The place will easily accommodate large fun-loving groups or small, intimate families. 2 Master suites one with kitchenette, private decks at the main house with options available for the cottage (2 bedroom, 1 bathroom), studio and rustic cabins.
