We had a wonderful time in this quiet well equipped bungalow which is only a 10 minute walk to the railway station with connections taking about 30 minutes to the CBD. There is a small garden centre to the rear but it is quiet, not really visible and closes at about 5pm. We would certainly stay here again.

We spent seven nights at Sandyside, and we appreciated the care package on arrival and the presentation of the inside of the unit was impeccable, however on the downside the Courtyard was a disgrace, it was over grown, shabby and unclean. As we were planning on inviting friends for a casual BBQ. My husband and I spent two hours pulling out weeds from the garden, some of which were over 5 feet high, and cutting back dangerouse dead branches from large shrubs to avoid someone being poked in the eye. There were also two large deadly nightshade bushes, of which the small green berries are potentially life threatening for children and pets. All the joins in the pavers had weeds 2 foot high between the joins and there were dead leaves and dirt in abundance as well as broken glass remanents.
My husband also spent an hour cleaning the BBQ, although some attempt had obviously been made to clean the BBQ, it was certainly not to a clean standard, and tin foil had been placed on the gas burners under the hotplate, which unchecked could have been very dangerous as it was restriciting air flow. The front garden was also very overgrown with weeds and the two pot planters with very dead plants at the front door was certainly not a great first impression. Considering the rental rate charged, we expected far better. There was also insufficient kitchenware available. No flyscreens on any windows or the back door, Two out of three lights in courtyard did not work, two out of three lights at front entrance also did not work.
We travel to Melbourne 3 to 4 times a year to visit friends and family and we will ensure that we do not re book Sandyside again, and we would certainly not reccommend Sandyside to anyone considering a holiday. For $368 per night it was certainly overpriced given the condition of the exterior. Interestingly our BBQ guests also commented on the shabby appearance of the units as they walked in from the front!
We have called Gayle to apologise for the less than perfect experience she unfortunately had with us on this occasion and have remedied the situation to Gayle's satisfaction. This is not our usual standard at all and we are deeply disappointed that this has happened.
We confirmed with Gayle that the main issue was that the gardening had not been attended to which is entirely our error and highlighted a lack of communication issue which we have now corrected.
Gayle, we again apologise, and as discussed yesterday, hope to welcome you back soon so we can demonstrate to you that we have certainly taken on all of your feedback to ensure your next experience with us is at the high standards we usually maintain and that other Trip Advisor reviews confirm.

We were very pleased with the apartment on our one week stay. There were minor things that need to be upgraded; like the frying pan and the knives - otherwise we had everything that was expected.
A good base to explore the Peninsula.

We had a great time at this address and the house was well equipped for a family. Was not too happy with the dog hair in the carpet in the lounge but the rest of the house was clean when we checked in. Good location if you have a car to get around this part of Melbourne. Nice to have the wi-fi included as well. Thanks for a good stay.
Comfortable, quiet and well located for our purposes

Lovely unit in a small block. It is well off the road and little or no traffic noise. Very well appointed, good quality linen, appliances etc.

Great location, lovely quiet area but close to the beach, various shops and easy road access to main routes around Melbourne (and to the train). Lovely house, cool on hot days warm on cold. Nice home feel and modern facilities.
