Located on the edge of the Sandy Lane Golf Course on the west coast of Barbados, Vistamar is a lovely 6 bedroom villa set in nearly 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with sea views. There are four bedrooms in the main house, with an additional two in the self-contained cottage; all bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, air conditioned and have ceiling fans. The spacious master bedroom has a safe and french doors that open out directly on to the pool deck.

Breathtaking from the moment we arrived on the property. The garden is like something out of a magazine. While we were at the house, we spent most of our time on the vast veranda, which had a dining table (for 12 of us!), a lounging area, and a bar. So when we weren't at the beach, we could enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting comfortably in the shade. It was also adjacent to the pool allowing for easy back and forth between the two.
Although the outdoors were the highlight, the rest of the house was gorgeous as well. Bedrooms and bathrooms fit for royalty. Having the separate cottage was nice too, if you wanted some separation.
The Sandy Lane beach we had access too was incredible as well. Being only a short drive (or a not as short, but relaxing walk) away, not a day went by that we didn't visit it.
What really made the trip though, was the staff and management. The property manager arranged our rental cars waiting for us at the airport. We arrived in the evening with dinner waiting for us. The staff was sooo curteous and welcoming and amazing cooks. The property manager was extremely helpful, booking activities and making recommendations.
If I am ever fortunate enough to return to Barbados, I will certainly be staying here again. -

Vistamar staff provide immaculate service. They took care of our every whim. The manager, Alexis, was very friendly and always available to book activities.
The villa is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and most of all spotlessly clean. The large pool and deck were luxurious for hanging out, and it's just a short walk to Sandy Lane Beach. Perfect holiday!! We will definately be back.
