Great home - everything there - very clean - excellent views and beautiful sunsets! Lovely screened deck, roomy sturdy dock, outdoor shower and hose, fenced kennel in back. Our first night included wonderful fireworks from the nearby campground dock. Location is remote but Chincoteague /Assateague are nearby and the nearby campground was very quiet. Love the feeling of being out there on your own. Water not very deep but enough to bring in a few daily crabs. Had our lines off dock and used several of owners may crab traps. Water too warm this week for good fishing. Brought some kayaks - plenty of water to explore. Plenty of low tide beach for digging in the sand. Beds/baths very comfortable for six.
Only warnings: there is a man living in the run-down house next door ...said hello but not any bother ...but did change our minds about leaving our teenage girls at the house alone. Also: No blender. Small coffee maker. Couldn't get dock lights to come on. Must use stairs, which we didn't mind but could be restrictive to others.
Grocery store/pizza/subs in 10-15 minutes. Don't forget the bug spray. -

Even though it was about 20 minutes from Chincoteague Island, I loved the privacy, quiet and peaceful atmosphere we were able to enjoy. I sat on the enclosed porch each day and enjoyed the view of the bay. There was an abundance of wildlife and fisherman out crabbing...alot of interesting things to watch. Would highly recommend. It was very clean and had a washer, dryer and dishwasher. Did miss internet connection. My daughter needed to check on something and had to drive around closer to the island to find somewhere she could connect to the internet.
If I am able to rent it next year I will bring a lot less since so much was provided. The only thing we had trouble with was the keyless entry...stopped working and fortunately there was always one of us there to open the door. I kept forgetting to call and tell them.
