Sanibel Island is a barrier island just off the southwest coast of Florida by Fort Myers. Sanibel is about 12 miles long and 4 miles wide, and is known around the world for it's fabulous shelling beaches. Due to Sanibel Island's unique geographical orientation, lying East to West instead of North to South, it acts as a scoop and gathers seashells along it's beaches. Throughout the year, thousands of visitors come to enjoy Sanibel's beaches and hunt for that special seashell. Sanibel has an average temperature of around 75 degrees. While Sanibel Island is a wildlife refuge in and of itself, over 60% of the island is actually protected wildlife preserves. There are over 26 miles of bike trails and over 17 miles of beautiful beaches.

Such a wonderful condo with everything we needed for a perfect Sanibel Vacation - including a corner view of the beautiful beach just steps away, which we found especially tranquil and relaxing. The furniture was high quality and very comfortable, and the tropical design is just like you would expect in an island getaway. I appreciated the staff that was on the property to assist with questions - they were all so friendly and I felt like they really loved the property too, and wanted us to have a good time. I am going to start planning our next trip and stay in this beautiful condo again!

The title says it all. We had a fantastic week in your condo! Everything was as we had hoped, and then more - we literally said the word "wow” when we walked in. We also really found Sandalfoot to be a nice little gem, tucked away on the East End of the island. Our kids loved the pool, which is just steps from the beach. Most mornings we had a wonderful low tide, which made for the best shelling we've ever seen (my son found some of the best shells ever). Most evenings we stayed in and cooked on the gas grills, then ate out on the Lanai. Just perfect. We'll be back for sure.

We had probably what was our best vacation, ever, in your condo. We had great weather and the breezes off the water came right in through the screened in porch. We listened to the waves in bed every night - and it was the most relaxing time I've ever had. We loved the updated tropical décor, and the furnishings were really comfortable as well. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for making meals. Loved walking on the beach every morning, and I felt like I found a thousand different shells! We can't thank you enough for sharing your beautiful vacation home!

What a wonderful, wonderful stay we have had. Everything you need is right here. The owners supplied us with a cooler, beach chairs and an umbrella, such nice chairs we're buying some when we get home. The furnishings are beautiful, the beds are amazingly comfortable, the view is spectacular! The office staff, Nancy and Judy, were so incredibly nice. I told them in the afternoon that the screen door was torn out of the frame a little and woke the next morning to find it fixed! I can't imagine we'll ever want to stay at any other condo. This rental was an excellent choice!

It was our first trip to Sanibel and I did a lot of looking on the internet for a nice condo in a good complex. Condo 5a3 at Sandalfoot was everything I hoped it would be. The condo itself is very nicely appointed, very clean and had everything we needed for a great week at the beach. Sandalfoot is a small complex and is kept up very well. We loved being right on the gulf and had a dolphin swim up within 5 feet of where we were swimming one day. It was fantastic! So if you're surfing the net right now looking for a great place to stay, you can stop your search -- you've found a gem with 5a3 at Sandalfoot!

We had a wonderful week vacation in your beautifully decorated and comfortable condo. Everything needed for a relaxing beach getaway can be found here- perfect weather, gorgeous ocean front view, fully functional kitchen and local restaurants and activities close by.
We enjoyed walking down the beach to the Light House and getting ice cream at Pinnochio's is a must! Last but not least Shells Galore! Two of our children ages 5 and 8 spent most of their time looking for shells, our 14 year old loved to sleep in and watch tv on the flatscreens and the youngest 18 month old particularly loved the pool! There was something for everyone! Thank you for the stay in your beautiful condo!

We loved our stay at Sandalfoot 5a3 and recommend it highly. The condo is very nicely furnished and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook. The lanai is screened and provides a great view of the gulf. The location of the condo is great, a very short walk to the beach, an even shorter walk to the pool, and very convenient parking. There is also on-site management and maintenance for the property.

We stayed for a week in November 09, at the Sandalfoot Resort in unit 5a3. The complex was in a great location with friendly and courteous staff. Unit 5a3 was wonderful, fully equipped, beautifully decorated, and one of the best locations front and center to the Gulf! We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already booked for the same week this year!!

We stayed here for two weeks in November and really liked the condo. The furnishings were top notch and the view from the balcony was one of the best. Our only complaint was the bedroom was a little cramped. But with a king sized bed that can happen. Given a choice I'll take the big bed every time. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

Everything was perfect. I wanted a smaller complex, corner unit right on the beach in a great location. The unit was much nicer than the pictures. All appliances, pots, dishes, furniture, Tv's are top of the line. Sanibel has the best restaurants, beaches, and nature activities around. I highly recommend this complex and especially this unit.
P.S. I am no relation to the owner although I wish I were. -

Location, Location, Location. 5A3 looks out on the Sanibel beach
and gulf. It is about 1/2 mile from the Sanibel Lighthouse and the
view is beautiful. Nancy and I were able to collect 20 lbs of special
shells and after cleaning send them home via postal system. The
condo 5A3 was very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
The condo would be ideal for a couple or a family of 4.
The owners have paid provided thoughtful extras. Not just the
internet access but the well stocked utility closet with several face
masks and shelling nets in addition to flashlights (for the midnight
shelling expedition).
The Sandalfoot staff were friendly and professional in answering the
typical touristy questions on where to eat and what to see. The
weekly poolside get together was well done.
I believe the owners and the management team did and excellent
job in providing a quiet,comfortable place for the gulf beach
vacation. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting next year. -

The Staff at Sandalfoot was terrific from my first call of inquiry, to reserving the unit, to checking us in, to checking us out. They felt like friends by the day we checked in. The unit was immaculate and treated very respectfully by the cleaning crew.
The condo was warm, inviting, and felt like home. We chose your unit from the pictures on the web site because it spoke to us as the kind of place we wanted to stay...the furniture is beautiful.
I can't imagine selecting any other unit. It was the perfect location, the perfect view, and had everything we could possibly want. The kitchen was completely furnished, and we decided to make our meals (took advantage of the nice gas grill provided)so we could enjoy them out on the lanai.
You thought of everything down to buckets for shells, books, puzzles, and movies.
We loved the whole experience of staying in such a beautiful home. It was so relaxing and peaceful there...even quiet. We never heard a sound from any other guests, including children (amazing!)
The thing we liked the least...the TV in the master bedroom was not connected to the cable as in the living room and second bedroom, so the channels were limited. However,this did not take away from the pleasure we experienced. We hope to return one day, and I have already recommended your condo to several friends, so hopefully that will bring in even more guests.
