Wonderfully close to the beach with a great view. Long stay not recommended as the living area furniture is shot. Very uncomfortable, stained and ripped. Long weekends or a week would not be bad but longer stays should be in another condo. The closets look like storage units for the owners instead of space for the guests. After seeing and staying in other units, this is my least favorite.

We have stayed at Sanibel Siesta for over 3 years and everyone in our party of 40+ loves staying here. It has a great location and friendly staff. The only negative - no washer/dryer in the units but the buildings do have on the first floor. A big plus - the newly constructed elevators and the private covered garage.

We have stayed at other Sanibel condos and feel that this was a very comparable stay to more expensive places. Exceptionally clean, great condo amenities, beautiful view of the gulf and easy to get to the beach. The private garage parking was a plus. Central location allows you to find the "back way" into different parts of the island to avoid Perwinkle Way during busy times. Extremely generous caretaker helped us reenter the unit to obtain some forgotten items after our check-out. Desk/check in workers will get you the names of island rental places that are great to work with for anything you might need for your unit or beach time. Things to consider if you've stayed at other condo assocations here: Pool might be smaller than you're used to; no restaurant or lounge on premises, but the Holiday Inn is right next door and quite accomodating; there are no elevators in most of the buildings here, so that 3rd floor view will require stair climbing.

I love the location and configuration of Sanibel Siesta. Even if you are in a building set further back from the beach, you still get a nice vew of the ocean. We will be making Sanibel Siesta our yearly vacation destination.
