We had the most enjoyable 1 week stay in B407 in april 2013 - everything worked like clockwork from getting the keys to (regretfully!) dropping them off! the condo is extremely comfortable, easy living and we really appreciated the ease of access to the bikes and beach stuff - very welcome. The resort and location are great -peaceful setting, very clean and tidy and welcoming and helpful if any queries. The beach is a stone's throw and we had great views from the lanai, being on the 4th floor. Highly recommended - a home from home even though far away. The owners clearly have a lot of pride in their condo and their attention to detail and comforts was very much appreciated. We look forward to returning soon.

When initially shopping for a resort we were impressed by the photographs of the condo, the amenities, price and location. The condo owners and the staff at Royal Shell Vacations consistently responded to our email inquiries immediately, providing detailed information and answers to any questions we had.
We arrived after hours and found the check-in procedure to be very accommodating. The view was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed listening to the ocean in the evenings and sleeping with the lanai door open. The condo was clean and well equipped, particularly with regard to the kitchen utensils and appliances. There is even a separate closet containing bikes, lawn chairs and shelling tools. The decor complimented the beach theme right down to the dishes and baskets of sea shells. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, leaving us feeling right at home.
The Sundial Resort provides a unique and wonderful experience with its all-natural private beaches. We enjoyed our own dolphin show, about six feet off the shore just in front of our condo. And don't forget to bring along an extra bag to haul all the wonderful sea shells home!
In short, the entire experience with Sundial B407 exceeded our expectations and hopes in every way! My only concern about posting a positive review is that the condo may be occupied when I want to rent it again! :)

This condo has a great view of the gulf that can be enjoyed on the screened in deck. It is a clean airy place with lot's of nice artwork hanging on the walls. There are amenities galore from bikes, beach equipment, extra towels, pillows, games, coolers, etc., etc. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen as well. I would definitely stay there again. It's on the 4th floor but there is an elevator although I pereferred the stairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This condo is a great location, very clean, has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. The owners provide bicycles, beach towels, beach chairs, games, books, fully equipped kitchen and everything you need. Sanibel is a great place to be and this condo just makes the vacation complete. The owners are great to work with and will go above and beyond to be sure you have a great stay.

This home away from home had every amenity you could wish for; from margarita glasses to bicycles. The short walk to the beach was wonderful. Whether collecting shells, swimming,finding live sea creatures or just reading a book the atmosphere was so enjoyable. The view from the enclosed balcony made evey morning and every night spectacular to look at. Acquiring the key on arrival was very easy and like wise on departure. I will certainly attempt to stay at this condo again in the future.

This condo was perfect for us. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening watching the water and listening to the sounds. The bed was situated in a way to watch the water's edge too. What a treat! The kitchen was equipped beyond what we expected. The store room downstairs had recreational equipment which we didn't have time to use! Next time. The location midway on Sanibel gave us virtually equal access to Ding Darling and the lighthouse. We loved our time there.

We had a wonderful time in Sanibel! The condo was very nice and looks exactly as pictured in their listing. The view is very nice and we loved the screened in porch with the comfortable furniture! The first day there the refrigerator went out but Sue and Carl were very quick to solve this problem for us. They were very accommodating! The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, glassware, etc.. easy to prepare a dinner. Thanks Sue and Carl for sharing your place!

Had a good time in Sanibel for our honeymoon, overall the room was very good. Only complaints were that the bathroom was a little cramped and the bed a little uncomfortable for the price, but was still very nice.
Looked over the water with a walk out balcony, included free bikes and they set up beach chairs with umbrellas on the beach each day. Outdoor pool, easy access to the entire island, right next to the beach, couldn't ask for much more from the setting. Thqnk you for the review. We do plan to replace the mattress next time we have some open days - we have been booked solid since last December! The mattress is only 5 years old but we always make sure we take care of things mentioned by our guests.

The accomodations were great for a couple. The gulf view from the balcony was great. The unit is perfect for two but too small for more than that. The unit was very clean. The televisions were a bit outdated but you are not there to sit and watch television. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony eating breakfast and lunch. We really didn't need air conditioning at night. We just opened the sliding glass doors all the way and let the gulf breezes do the rest. We would definitely rent this unit again.

My dad and I did a father-daughter bonding vacation to Sanibel Island May 5th through May 12th and rented B407 at the Sundial. We had a fantastic experience, detailed below:
Making reservation and finding available dates directly through Sue and Carl was easy, efficient, and they were prompt and very friendly in their response. They gave us all the information we needed to get started reserving the condo. Though we've not met them, they seem like great people and were great to rent from.
When we arrived on Sanibel, our keys to the condo were available right at the promised time at the Royal Shell properties office. We arrived to a clean, well-stocked condo that looked exactly as pictured in their listing (which we found on Flip Key and through the Webster's website for the condo). The view is fabulous and the condo was exactly what we wanted.
As far as what you get for your money, you can't go wrong here. The two bikes they provide - alone -saved us well over $120. We took full advantage of having them (bike locks included). The storage unit housed plenty of beach chairs, boogie and skim boards, pool "noodles," umbrellas - you name it. What a fantastic set of amenities.
Inside the condo (in the linen closet) we were so please to find a variety of things! First and foremost, SPF 70 for when my shoulders burned to a crisp from riding in our convertible the first day! A bunch of extra sunscreen, all the linens and towel you need, board games, card games, puzzles, flashlights, coolers, beach bags...the list could go on and on. It was wonderful to rent from people who take such pride in providing a great experience for their guests. In-unit laundry was great for all our wet towels. Another big plus - the refrigerator had an ice maker, which we used every day. The kitchen had everything you could need, and then some. Having friends over? No problem, the kitchen was stocked with festive and tropical plates, platters, glassware, plastic for outdoors or the beach. All I can say is wow.
The king bed was large and comfy, the pull-out sofa did just fine for my dad (!) and the bathroom was clean and just fine for what we needed. We spent every night on the lanai playing cards or just listening to the waves.
Overall, we can say confidently we will absolutely rent this unit again. Look for us in the guest book! You know that someone cares when they even have a special placard giving us guidelines and education on the sea turtles that nest during certain times of the year, and how we can help protect them during our stay by following a few simple rules. I loved everything about this trip and I can't wait to go back. We have no hesitation in recommending this unit to anyone who plans to visit the island. -

My husband and I rented B408 through Sue Webster and Royal Shell. They were very helpful and prompt with replies to our questions. The condo was well furnished and clean. The list of items in the condo was incomplete -- there was a lot more there than you would ever expect!! The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. We could not find anything we would have changed, except to have a "real wall" in the bedroom would have been nice. Although that would not deter us from staying there again.
This is the first time I have been on vacation and actually teared up when leaving the condo. It was a beautiful view to wake up to each morning.
I have read some reviews of Sundial that were not good and obviously this depends on the condo owner. This was perfect!!! -

This is the third year we have stayed at the Sundial Resort. We love the central location on the island and the close acess to the beach. We have stayed in 3 different units and B407 is by far the best. It feels like a second home. It is well equipped with just about anything you might need. The available bikes are a definite bonus. The elevator is nearby. Last year we stayed in B408, which is owned by a relative of B407. It was very similar and very nice also, except without the bikes. The view is wonderful from both condos. The owners are very accommodating. We love the islands and have already booked the condo for next year.

My husband and I have actually stayed twice in one of Sue's Sundial rentals. We always have a great time! The condo has everything you would ever want. In the evening you can watch the sun go down over the beach from your lanai, it is so beautiful! The beach is only a few steps from your condo, we absolutely love it! We have many wonderful memories of collecting shells, sightseeing, shopping and most of all just relaxing. We love the laid-back atmosphere of the island. We will definitely be back for another visit! Too, Sue has always been great to work with and very accommodating! Thanks Sue for sharing your place, we'll be back!

The condo is immaculate and the views are breathtaking,although it is a one bedroom it is designed to live larger and is like a second home.I promise after a few nights you will never want to leave.I rented this condo for many years and still like to sneak away there when I can.There are so many things to do on sanibel island so get out and explore or stay on the beach and relax and enjoy the fabulous shelling and look out for dolphins in the wakes.

Been staying here for at least a dozen years...it feels like home now! Great view, just steps to the beach. Listen to the ocean as you fall asleep, quiet location. Very restful. Well equipped condo...has everything you'd need! Mid island location so close to everything.

This was the best-equipped vacation rental that we have stayed in--the owners have great attention for detail. Beach views were great--we slept with the screen doors open to hear the waves. Sanibel was a great destination, too--good variety of activities.

I have been booking through Sue (and the same unit when available) for several years now. The booking process is easy and follow-up is quick. The unit is well kept, equipped with everything you need and tastefully decorated - a home away from home with local flavor. The lanai has a view of the gulf and beach - in cooler months the sliding doors can be left open to hear the waves at night - very relaxing; one of my favorite things.

In my mind, Sanibel = relaxation. This condo is the perfect place to stay at Sanibel. Wake up to an amazing view of the gulf, stroll on the beach at sunrise to collect the amazing shells, eat your breakfast while listening to the break... that is how I started everyday of my vacation. The condo provides everything that you need for the week -kitchen, washer/dryer, towels, etc... the island provides everything you need to relax - beautiful gulf, wildlife, quiet, kayaking, boating etc... also the residents and visitors are friendly, you'll find yourself chatting as you do the Sanibel stoop... can't wait to go back next year!

Only negative is I didn't realize the Sundial charged extra for pool & amenity access. Could have made that more apparent. I'm not cheap though so that didn't bother me, but I'm sure it bothers cheap people. Otherwise the stay was awesome.

Bill, I'm so sorry you didn't know Resort amenities were an extra charge, I usually take great care to mention this in my initial email. The condo association amenities which are available to our guests offer so much, most guests don't need or care to access the Resort amenities (we offer private condo rental with condo association amenities of 4 pools onsite, gas BBQ grills, beach, wireless internet, shuffleboard, “Beaches” onsite restaurant; all these amenities are available to all at any time at no charge. Tennis can be played for a fee for court time. Resort Package adds one more pool with waterslide and poolside bar and grill, fitness center (fee), Jacuzzi, onsite restaurant and children’s activities (fee for some), and can be purchased for $25 per day per adult, 3 day minimum (no charge for children) .
