Located in the very desirable Sand Pointe Gulf front complex, complete with private beach access, beautiful landscaped grounds, a small lagoon and a larger than typical size heated pool . Never worry about getting a pool chair at Sand Pointe any time of year. The grounds are very tropical with the small lagoon, palm trees , beautiful landscaping, and at night is stunning with landscaping lighting. Sanibel Island is located off the coast of Ft. Myers, on the Gulf coast of Florida. Our Sand Pointe complex is located on the Gulf of Mexico, centrally located on the island, just west of the intersection of West Gulf Dr. and Tarpon Bay Road. It is conveniently located on the trail , which travels 22 miles around the island and is used for biking, walking, running and rollerblading. The condo is also conveniently located to the Bailey's grocery store, an ice cream shop, a video rental store and a small cinema.

This was our third stay in Sand Pointe 112 (we also stayed in Dec 2001 and Jan 2006), as we seem to hear the siren call of Sanibel about every 4 - 5 years! We love staying in Julie Klemen's condo, as it is always beautifully kept and has nice extra touches for families, such as beach toys, beach umbrellas and a great selection of board games and family Dvds. Great location, restful (and tasteful) decor, and altogether a wonderful Sanibel experience! Sanibel Holiday (the condo rental agency) were great to deal with. Everything was stress-free!
Another great Sanibel vacation ... Highly recommended! -

We stayed at the Sand Point condominium complex for a quick 1 week getaway. The condo complex like all of the condos along W. Gulf Drive are showing their age. However, the condo complex and pool are well maintained and offer all of the usual amenities. The condo owner was very prompt in responding to our last minute search for a rental on Sanibel. The unit was certainly nice with everything that anyone would need for a week on Sanibel. The two bedrooms made it the right size for myself and my young adult daughter. Cable TV and wireless internet are available.

Condo was well decorated and well stocked. View of the gulf from the lanai exceeded expectations. Great location for kids with lots of facilities and activities. Was there Thanksgiving week and it did get busy with lots of families. Led to some noisy nights at the pool.

This is a very clean and comfortable unit with friendly owners and a beautiful view. Although I stayed here alone, I can see that it is well equipped for families as well. Unit has a well equipped kitchen, beach chairs and toys, high chair, umbrella stroller, tv in both bedrooms,dvd and book collection, etc. I could go on forever. Sand Pointe has great beach access just a short walk down a wooden boardwalk as well as a well kept pool and small lagoon. The grounds are neat and clean. I would highly recommend this Sand Pointe unit. This unit will always be my first choice when visiting Sanibel.

This condo is great for a couple or family. The condo is clean, roomy, and comfortable. The kitchen has all of the things you will need for cooking. The location is wonderful! You can easily walk to the beach and pool. The bike path right by the condo complex will take you quickly to many shops and restaurants. This is a wonderful condo!

This is the second time we have stayed in this unit and each time we have not been disappointed. Great location and a lovely and quiet complex. The unit is well maintained, has a fully equipped kitchen, chairs for the beach, boogie boards, shelling equipment and more.

After an elevator or stairway climb to the second floor, you enter the fully-equipped kitchen with soft indirect lighting. The living/dining rooms are made more spacious with a plate glass mirror along one wall. The sofa in the living room opens up to a queen-size bed for extra guests. The armoire houses a large-screen TV, books, and nautical artifacts. The comfortable king-size bed in the master bedroom also has a plate glass mirror the entire length of the headboard wall.
A favorite feature is a screened-in lanai for dining or relaxing, which overlooks a pond with an occasional egret, the swimming pool, a short boardwalk to the Gulf and a shell-covered beach. Many shell-filled vases grace our shelves at home as mementoes. The nautical decorations throughout the condo are a constant reminder that you're on a tropical vaction.
We found groceries expensive on the island. Here's a tip:
Buy them before crossing the causeway. Nevertheless, we bought breakfast and snack food, and enjoyed discovering the many unique island restaurants, like none other on the mainland. -

We vacationed at this condo several times, and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The location overlooking the pool and Gulf is terrific. The condo was clean and provided everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the large lanai.

Our favorite vacation spot. Love this condo - something for everyone and we travel with one teenager, 2 young adults and an elderly aunt. The condo was spotless - lots in the condo to do when we were inside (which wasn't much because the weather was great)
The pool is right below and the beach just over the walkway. The complex is small and we never feel crowded when we visit. We have been several times and stayed in several different condos in this complex but this is our favorite condo. We will be staying in this condo again in august, 2011.
