Sanibel Island was ranked the #1 destination by travel guru Arthur Frommer in 2012. Frommer cites the island's natural beauty and home for rare birds found at the internationally acclaimed Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. 65% of the island is conservation land. There are 15 miles of beaches, 22 miles of bike trails, 50 species of fish, 230 species of birds, 250 types of shells and 0 stoplights! No buildings are over 4 stories tall.
Sanibel lies west of Fort Myers (40 min from the airport), south of Tampa and north of Naples. The Everglades makes for a great day trip. There is a Shell Museum, Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, kayaking in Tarpon Bay, fishing in Pine Island Sound and many more natural activities. There is nothing more relaxing than falling asleep to the sound of waves, awaking to a beautiful ocean vista that I can see from my bed! The kitchen and living area are breezy and open, with panoramic views of the sparkling water. We found ourselves eating, drinking and playing games on the balcony every day. I highly recommend having your meals on the balcony dining table (plenty of room for 6). The beach access was fantastic and quick, and we loved the special touches ("shelling" tools, books, beach towels).
Sanibel offers great daytime activities, shopping, dining and nightlife - but we loved our time in the condo itself most of all. We will be back!

The condo has the best location of the whole complex. I can still remember the first time I walked in and saw the remarkable panoramic view. I cannot wait until I return again and again.

This unit is spacious and lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch area and quick access to the beach and pool. One evening we had a sit-down dinner in the dining room with 3 couples - I was amazed at how spacious and comfortable this area was...so often large gatherings in vacation units can be cramped. We visited some of the local shops & restaurants, as well as near-by Captiva. We were wowed from our arrival to our depature (and definitely did not want to leave)!

I loved Sundial R 206, we had a great stay & condo was awesome. View from living room, bed room and patio were great, we even watched dolphins with our binoculars. Furnishes were perfect, well decorated, very clean, and comfortable. Had everything we needed! Location was perfect, we took strolls on the beach which was only a short bridge walk from our room. We went on a bike ride through a near by nature reserve and enjoyed great food at area restaurants. We will definitely stay at Sundial again!
