Loggerhead Cay 333Chillin' in beautiful Sanibel

Loggerhead Cay is a lovely well maintained complex, with 5 buildings looking on to a central landscaped garden area and large, deep swimming pool. It is also right on the beach so it was very convenient to carry beach chairs and umbrellas there (kindly provided in the condo) and spend time enjoying the beautiful beach - lots of shells and plenty of wildlife - saw dolphins come in close to shore. Condo 333 is very spacious and light with lovely high ceilings. Nice decoration and good furnishings with lots of home comforts. Didn't want to come home!

We came from London for a special holiday with our daughter and baby grand-daughter who came to meet us from New York. Ariving late in the evening all was arranged by the agency for collection of keys and paperwork. The appartment was extremely clean, well prepared, spacious and light, the furniture and furnishings are excellent, and the kitchen very well equipped. The lanay was welcoming, a great place to enjoy a sunny breakfast. Baby (15 months) absolutely loved it, pottering around, discovering beach toys (octopus became her favourite word). The two most outstanding features were the proximity to the beach - great for our early morning bird watching and shell gathering - and the lovely warm swimming pool with table and benches for leisurely lunches. Sanibel is a delight with much to offer - walks on the beach to the lighthouse, exploring the wildlife areas, sunset on Captiva, boat rides to see dolphins, great shops and plenty of restaurants. The one drawback is the traffic at peak times (to be avoided if possible). We would certainly love to go back one day. Thank you to Gordon and to Sanibel Accommodations for providing this memorable holiday.

Stayed at 333 Loggerhead Key in March 2009. The condo is lovely but would not reccommend it for four adults as the second bedroom was a little small, very hot (aircon not god in this room) and had to buy a fan. The window was on the walkway so it was also noisey, particularly in the morning when the guy next door was up at 7am every day!
Otherwise it was superb. -

The condo was wonderfully decorated! We were very happy with the unit. Washer dryer, full kitchen, beach toys and chairs, wifi. We arrived at night though, and finding the unit and parking spot were a little challenging the first time, but it turns out in the light of day, very easy! If you want to stay at Loggerhead Cay, this is a great unit to rent.
Our only issue was with the adult swim hours for Loggerhead Cay itself (the condo complex). The two adult swim times, 8-9 AM and 4-5 PM, precluded us from using the pool in the afternoon due to my 3 year old's nap schedule. By the time he woke up from his nap and we got down there, it was adult swim time. At the time of year we were there (late March) the mornings were a little too cold/windy for the pool. So really, we could never use the pool (my sister stayed at a different resort that didn't have adult swim hours so we would head over there every day). That 4-5 slot was the warmest time of day.
If you are adults, or your kids are older, the adult swim hours may not be an issue for you. But young families should be warned. If it wasn't for my sister's access to a different facility, we would have been very frustrated by Loggerhead Cay's rules and it could've ruined our vacation. -

Love the Beach!!!!!

The condo was nice but need a little updating. Reminded me of the early 90s. I have stayed at Loggerhead Cay two other times. Once on our honeymoon 8/1989 and also 9/2001. But over all loved the location the beach and the grounds.
