We had a wonderful stay. The house was in a great location. In excellent condition. Some of the best views in Tuscany from every part of the home. All the amenities you could ever need. Very private location. There was a very good restaurant right down the road. I suggest the risotto! Loaded with truffles! Tuscany multi service (property manager) was very helpful and the owners of the property made setting up our stay very easy. I could go on and on. This is truly a great place to stay in Tuscany. I hope we can return soon!

Our trip was wonderful and as stated in the "visit diary", the location and villa is very beautiful.
It is the first time (after many Italian visits) that we found a place so well equiped that your holidays starts immediatly when entering the location.
Worth mentioning is also the fact that the owners (Colleen en Jim) are very reliable and take care of any occuring demand.
We sign as Hilde, Sebastiaan, Nicolas and Matthias -

Il Castelletto was the perfect Tuscan experience for us. The villa is beautiful with amazing vistas that surpassed our expectations. After a hectic week in Rome, it was the perfect way to unwind. We took day trips to arrezo, Cortona, Assisi and Sienna. The accommodations were five star - very comfortable beds, different patios for sun or shade throughout the day, a fully equipped modern kitchen and a lovely pool, although the weather was unseasonably cool during our visit. Everything was purrr-fect including our pet cat, Miss Kitty who greeted us each morning with her lop-sided smile. An experience that we highly recommend to everyone who wants a true taste of Italy.

This serene hilltop retreat had gorgeous views of the lake and Tuscan hills. The property was a feast for the eyes and a retreat for the soul. Quiet, tranquil and a perfect getaway for those looking for relaxation and comfort. Il Castelletto had all the comforts of home including wonderful beds and linens. The spacious main bathroom had a soaker tub that was a real treat after a long day of traveling. Evenings were cool so the big stone fireplace came in handy while also adding ambiance to the already cozy and inviting living room/dining room. The main town is a short drive on a bumpy road but well worth the visit as it was filled with treasures and offered lovely markets, shops and even a wine bar! We plan to return next Summer to relive our experience.

What can I say? This was my second visit with my mom & friends and it just gets better with each visit. The house is fantastic with amazing views from practically every room. What is really unique aside from the blend of rustic charm & modern conveniences is that the house provides all kinds of sanctuary for anyone who wishes some private space to soak in this magical part of Tuscany. Set in the countryside, the house is central to so many charming places to visit either for a day, morning or afternoon. One should take care that they don't get charmed to death! Perhaps the best part is the location is off the beaten path, so it is easier to experience the region without butting heads with a lot of tourists. The rolling terrain offers more variety of color and contrasts compared to the Chianti region further west. The charm of Sansepolcro and the people of the region allows the visitor to acclinmate so easily. The province of arezzo is genuine! Wonder, charm & adventure are within a stones throw in all directions. I cannot say enough about how much I love this place and would wholeheartedly encourage a stay there!

We have made 2 family vacations to this same villa! The first time we visited as a family was in august, the weather was absolutely incredible! We soaked up the tuscan sun by the pool and truly relaxed. Our second visit we had to the home we spent 3 full weeks, which was honestly still not long enough! Where we live in Canada, the winters are long and harsh...this villa in Italy is like a dream come true! The house was immaculate, well stocked with all the necessary cooking items. The bedrooms were huge with beautiful views from each, and the main bedroom had a very relaxing private terrace where you could read a book and enjoy a glass of persecco while the rest of the family relaxed in their niches of the house. The pool was the highlight for our kids and us, as it was very clean and well situated overlooking the Valtiberina and a wonderful lake! My wife and I loved relaxing by the pool, listening to the kids play and constantly kicking ourselves to realize how incredible of a vacation we were having!!! The house itself is perfectly located in our opinion. It is within 15 minutes drive of the closest city(Sansepolcro) up in the hills tucked in front of a stunning ancient castle!! Down days were terrificly private at the villa, touring days were ideal as the central location of the home made most attractions easy day over overnight trips. We highly recommend visiting Caprese Michelangelo (where Michelangelo was born), La Verna (where St Francis received his stigmata), Assisi, Cortona, Anghiari, San Leo, San Marino! All these incredible places within an hour!! Venturing slightly further, 2-3 hours you easily get to Florence, Pisa, Rome, Venice, Verona. We made an incredible overnight trip to Cinque Terre...Highly recommended. And then of course, back again to your private hillside villa...you truly feel like you are home!
