Barbara
Manhattan Beach, CAFabulous Ocean View!!
Left on 09/27/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We recently returned from a week in Santa Barbara's Sea Cliff Retreat. Walking into the home we were immediately struck by the fact that you can see the ocean from every window. It is such a beautiful and soothing sight! We spent most of our time on the huge deck that contained everything we needed for a restful and fun vacation. The jacuzzi, many seating choices, table for eating and large grill made it easy to visit with our daughters who live in the area. Early morning walks were taken after walking down the 20 steps to the beach and there are restaurants and coffee places nearby so I did not have to cook every meal! Speaking of cooking, the kitchen was well stocked with things needed for grilling, cooking and snacking. My favorite part of the experience was leaving windows open at night to go to sleep listening to the ocean. We did have a plumbing issue while we were there but the management company sent help quickly so we felt that we received good service when we needed it. I would highly recommend this vacation home.

My girlfriend and I arrived at the SeaCliff Retreat to start our vacation, and we initially couldn't find the condo. It was our fault as we didn't look for signs, or numbers near the door. As soon as you walk into the condo, you know you are in luxury! It was amazing!
There are two patio's, and they are big enough to accomodate a small army of friends and guests. But walk out onto the main patio, and it is like having your own private resort. From the sitting area, to the BBQ, to the jacuzzi, to your own private walkway to the beach, it is a resort!
All the amentities are top notch, and there was plenty of space to store clothes, food, and drinks. They provide you with the simple things like toilet paper, paper towels, disposable plates, and utensils. The only thing I had to provide was food and drinks. Perfect!
Back to the patio! You are literally one hundred yards from the beach, and you have a 180 degree view of water. Every morning sunrise, and every night, sunset... Again, perfect. Even when the fog rolled in, it was awesome. At night, we left all the windows and doors open and listened to the waves crash against the beach. You don't get that at any of the hotels close to State Street on Shoreline.
Now, the only two concerns I have with the place is the huge flight of stairs and the couch. The flight of stairs leading from the condo down to Shoreline is easy to climb or go down, unless you are trying to carry a bike. Not that fun when you are doing it three times a day. Build a bike rack at the bottom of the stairs that will be secure from thieves. Second, get a new main couch! That thing is worn out and needs replacing! Bad!
Now, these two concerns weigh only slightly in my rating of the SeaCliff, because there were so many great things about it!
And Santa Barbara Luxury accomodations is the only way to go if you are renting in S.B. Not one problem with anything concerning them. Made the whole process simple! -

Sea Cliff location was perfect. Wonderful views from the large deck overlooking the beach. Easy walking into the town. The accommodation was spacious and very well equipped. Hot tub and large barbeque on the deck were very welcome. We would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Cliff Resort. We love the ocean view, the large terrace with BBQ, hot tub. The property is spacious, nicely furnished, and well stocked. It was perfect for our family. We also love that the property management company answered all our questions and concerns, and that emails were responded promptly.

Reno, NevadaWonderful weekend
Left on 04/03/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The condominium location was perfect and the views are spectacular. It is an older home, but totally renovated and very clean. There were a few things missing in the kitchen (like measuring cups) and we had problems with a toilet and the internet. These things were quickly resolved by the property managers. The hot tub and patio were great. It does not have a large living area, but it is fine for one or two couples.
On our last morning after torrential rains, the wall and ceiling began to leak. It did not affect our stay, but would have required attention.
We had a wonderful weekend and would rent this home again.

Pittsburgh, PAConveniently located condo in Santa Barbara
Left on 04/02/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We're booking another stay at the Sea Cliff Retreat, because it's just across the street from Ledbetter Beach and is very close to the yacht harbor and Stearn's Wharf. The condo itself is comfortable for three or four people, is attractively decorated, represents good value for the money, and is quiet and very clean. There are a few quirks, including the dryer venting into the powder room and the fact that the hooks and towel racks throughout the unit are somewhat shakily affixed to the drywall, but these minor inconvenienes pale in comparison to the fantastic view, excellent amenites (including a very nice kitchen), and the price.

Arlington Heights, ILMore than I expected!
Left on 03/19/2011 for a stay in February 2011
My wife, daughter, her boyfriend and I wanted to escape the chill of Illinois and celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday in Santa Barbara. Our stay at Sea Cliff Retreat was the highlight of the trip! Located conveniently to all everything made our trips to the wineries and Santa Barbara effortless. The well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook dinners and enjoy the evening from the fabulous patio. Frankly, the pictures of the unit do not do it justice! The patio stretches across the entire length of the unit; has multiple seating areas;and includes an eight foot diameter heated, in ground hot tub. What a beautiful place to sit and view the park, beach, and ocean; literally a stones throw from the patio. The sound of the surf was wonderful!
There was ample parking for two cars and it was a short walk to the front door. It should be noted that the unit is two storied. When you enter the unit the second bedroom is straight ahead and very private. This bedroom has a shower only bathroom. Walking down the stairs to the main floor leads to a small living room, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom. The entire main level enjoys sliding patio doors to the patio. Because the unit is high above street level, privacy is not an issue.
The large master bedroom opens to the living room and is closed off with curtains. The adjacent bathroom is adequate and attached to a large closet area and laundry facilities. The king size bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed listening to the surf as we drifted off to sleep.
My family would highly recommend Sea Cliff Retreat and the services of Sblr. We hope to return soon.
