I recently stayed @ Riviera Solace to celebrate a milestone birthday with 7 other close friends / family. We found the house to have many perks and fell in love with the awesome view from almost anywhere in the house. The surround sound was a great touch everywhere (yes, in the bathrooms as well) and who doesn't love the option for an outdoor shower :). Having a separate detached suite / room was nice, but we did not fully use it. We loved cooking in the kitchen and spending as much time as possible outside on the multiple decks / patio. The only drawback was the lack of a pool or jacuzzi tub outside! It was hot in early September and the place had no a/C either. All of us loved it and can't wait to come back and stay again!!! The rental company was very professional and responsive throughout the rental process as well. Thank you!

Hi Linda,
Just wanted to send you some comments on our rental at Riviera Solace 7/09 - 7/13.
The house was very nice. There was good use of space and everyone had their own bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor space was terrific.
Suggestions to make the experience better.
1) Heavy drapes in the bedrooms to block out the light.
2) More water pressure in the kitchen sink
3) The sofa and loveseat were way too soft and one tended to sink into the bottom pillows
4) most important - The mattresses in all the bedrooms were awful. They were soft and lumpy.
On the first night I slept in the king size bed. I woke up with spasms in my back.
I then slept on the bedroom floor for the next three nights.
I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone unless the mattresses were replaced. All three women complained about the mattresses. Please let the owners know.

Since this review was posted we have had multiple staff members, our homeowners, and a long list of guests test out all of the mattresses. Every single person, both biased and unbiased, have agreed that the mattresses are in great condition and are perfectly fine. This is the only complaint we have ever received about the mattresses, and we have hosted more guests than we can count. We take all feedback into consideration, particularly complaints, and will make improvements as necessary in order to ensure the comfort of our guests. Just today (5/2/12) a client requested a tour of the property prior to booking so they could feel the mattresses for themselves. They promptly secured their reservation after their assessment and told us they did not agree with Ms. Pelavin's opinion in the slightest. We encourage anyone with doubts to do the same and we feel very confident that you will not be disappointed.

We loved it!! The house did have a funny smell but I think it was just the garbage disposal so we put lemon wedges in it and the smell seemed to go away. We had one problem figuring out the music system but the handy man came right over and hooked everything up for us right away - great service!!! The house was gorgeous we really enjoyed it all!!! The view was great, it was clean, furnished beautifully, it really was perfect for our needs!!

We had a fantastic time at this rental. The view is incredible and the house fit 8 people very comfortably with all the amenities we needed for a weekend away. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property for Mother's Day weekend with another family and (4 adults, 2 babies, 1 dog). The house has a great kitchen and great room, where we spent most of our time. There are beautiful views of the ocean from the top floor of the house. The bedrooms are very comfortable (and one even came with a pack & play, which was convenient) and the bathrooms are clean and large (downstairs has a very cool tub). There is an in-law suite (which we did not use, but would be great for another family) and a few sun decks (one off the kitchen, where we would eat breakfast, one off the top bedroom and one in the backyard, where we would lay out and read).
The only downside was the location. It was not walking distance to State Street or the beach, where we spent most of our time. If you plan to spend most of your time at the house, or don't mind driving to the beach or State Street, then this property will be perfect for you.
