I went in May 2011 with my husband, my brother and his wife and their two young children. I think the cottage is perfect for two couples and having the two children made it a little tight.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, despite the sad circumstances that lead to our trip. The upstairs is a loft type space with it's own bathroom, it's very lovely. There were many nice touches all throughout the cottage. The outdoor area was a nice place to relax in the sunny weather and have a nice meal outside.
The location was also great - walking distance to many places to eat and shop. It's not right in the center of it so you don't feel like you're surrounded by other people but it's close enough that you only have to walk a couple blocks to find a place to eat.
I would definitely rent again but would keep the total down to two couples at most. -

I celebrated Christmas with my wife, one year old daughter and in laws at this cottage. My in laws stayed the entire week and we came for three nights. It is a very cute cottage with a lot of nice touches...hardwood floors, updated kitchen, tv, wii, cds, stereo, cute backyard, front porch.
It was perfect for four adults/two couples...One bedroom & bath upstairs and one bedroom & bath downstairs. It had a pullout couch in the den as well, however; I wouldn't recommend this unit for anymore than 4.
The location is excellent...walking distance to downtown and to a nearby park.
We had a wonderful time and the cottage was definitely a factor. Whitney and the management team were wonderful to work with. -

The house was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of space for all six of us. My husband and I shared the very large upstairs room, my sister and her husband shared the downstairs bedroom and my two teenage boys shared the couch in the living room. The house is walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara which offers plenty to keep you busy. We drove to the beach and appreciated the beach towels left for our use. We also took a trip to wine country and took advantage of the brochures that the owners had supplied. I would book here again in heart beat!
