We stayed here with a group of nine, ranging in ages from seven to 72, between Christmas and New Year's. I can't praise the property highly enough: tremendous amount of space, even not including the very cool separate studio building, extremely high quality materials throughout, and incredibly well equipped -- after renting homes from Europe to the Caribbean and all over the us this is the first place we stayed where the kitchen actually had truly professional quality appliances and pots and pans (though no microwave). The location worked well for us: it's about ten minutes walk to where the main street stores start and perhaps a bit over a mile and a half to the beach. The Mission is about ten minutes in the other direction. Renting bikes would be a good idea though we didn't do that. It's a good base for visiting the Santa Ynez wineries also (about an hour's drive, lots of local companies will provide a driver and vehicle for a reasonable fee). Sb Luxury Rentals did a fine job having the house ready for our (rather late) arrival, and in providing mid-week cleaning on request. We would be back in a heartbeat.

The equivalent of a boutique hotel. Beautiful, stylish property which is well cared for. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay here. I would highly recommend this property as it is a fantastic holiday retreat.

We traveled with our 2 year old son, grandparents, and brother and our stay was amazing. Sb luxury rentals always has amazing service. This is our 2nd year renting through them and we have not been disappointed. As former four seasons loyal customers, we needed something more flexible with our child (and additional family) without sacrificing service. This indeed is the place to rent through!
The location of this specific place was ideal - we love to walk and were within walking distance of state street downtown, a long walk to the beach, and within close proximity to fine grocery stores like whole foods. We absolutely loved the hot tub in the back yard and my son loved playing in the backyard. The only downside is that next year my son will be in a toddler bed, and since all the guest rooms are upstairs we won't likely be able to stay here in case he wanders in the middle of the night. But we would definitely recommend for families with older children or babies that are not crawling or in a crib.
