Additional Location Information
We are honored to be the stuarts of this sacred land and love to share it with you.
With the mountains at its back and the Pacific Ocean at its feet no city could have a more ideal setting.
It is serene in the vortex of energy.
This Home can be your Sanctuary away from home.
Larry found this house on Gibraltar. The realtor brought him here, showed him the rooms, the bathrooms and the kitchen. What drew him was the energy of the earth which the house was standing on. When the realtor left, Larry came back and lay on the ground to feel the vortex of energy.
When he brought me for the first time, my first impression was, “Wonderful, beautiful but I am not driving up this road.” Larry did not let go, “No problem, I will drive you.” He drove me for a month till I decided to try on my own. After three months, I forgot that I was afraid before and it takes me 15 min to get to the store or to my exercise class.
The view and the quiet and to be with the nature was so worth the drive.
When we got involved with Pachamama Alliance in 2008 and needed the place to give the symposium, we bought this couch in the living room to sit 15 people. It went pretty well, I am not sure how much they got out of the symposium but the participants still are talking about the house and the view.
We were falling in deeper and deeper in love with the house and with each other. We love to travel and explore the world. our first dream was to find out about healing places around the world.
We like Optimum Health Institute in San Diego. Wheat grass juice, raw food, juices, exercise and meditation. We found and went to Thailand Chang Mi Tao Gardens. We learned about asian healing. The food was different from San Diego. We had choices of cooked food and raw food. It was difficult to control our temptations.
We went to Japan to learn Shiatsu massage.
We went to France to visit homes of the french painters.
We loved Thailand and France. We went back to Thailand and Bali. Learned Balinese healing massage and how to be present.
We love Hawaii, Kawaii island.
Went on the fusion painting tour with Rassouli the Fusion painter to Check Republic to meet check painters and to paint. Turned out to be dancing meditation, painting and lots of good food.
We always wanted to share this house with other people show appreciate the nature, the quiet and healing energy.
We are offering it for yoga retreats or such.
We came up with idea to rent it to people for vacations. It led to learning about Fengshui and home decorating.
The Hatai Man in upstairs seating area is antique 200 years old wooden carved. He was found by Larry 30 years ago in Antique store in Santa Barbara. He follows us everywhere. He became the part of our family.
When we first enter the house we rub his belly. The gongs and drums were brought from all over the world.
My dear friend Magi Meihan helped me to decorate this house. She has a talent of seeing details that I don’t see.
We love to share our house with our guests.
We would like you to get the best experience ever.
Thank you for staying with us.

What Past Guests Are Saying
Unique house with great mountain, ocean, city, and island views.
Wow what a view!!! Great Hosts and we would go back!
Wow! I cannot begin to put adequate words together to describe the view from Victoria and Larry's home. It is more than breathtaking, and we had a wonderful 5 days enjoying it. The drive up Gibraltar road was exciting, definitely one to try first during daylight hours. You really have solitude without truly having neighbors at all, peaceful and again the view! The home was great! The kitchen was modern and at the same time very functional, with a grill outside where we spent much of our time. There were so many fun things to the property, from the musical instruments in the upper living room to the pool and hot tub on the main deck. The decor was eclectic with inspiration from both music and asian themes, with cool cork flooring throughout. The three bedrooms were all very large and the bathrooms very nice and clean. There was a really cool shower in the master bedroom. The Master again had the spectacular view of the ocean. Victoria was also really sweet and brought us some things we had forgotten as well as arranging massages for the wives. We would rent from Victoria and Larry again in a second and hope to be back next year.
This house has the most amazing view
Wonderful views! This house is so unique! I loved the decor, so welcoming and cozy. Each bedroom is so cute, and all of the beds are very comfortable. The best part of my weekend was sitting in the hot tub overlooking all of Santa Barbara. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing peaceful weekend!!
Unparalleled views, luxurious but homey and comfortable...
Fabulous experience. There are views of the ocean, mountains, sunset and the city everywhere you look. There is a really cool tea house and coy pond on the property. The house is very comfortable and has a global exotic luxury feel to it. The kitchen has everything you need and we loved cooking there. The open floor plan kitchen / dining room has glass sliding doors on three sides and overlooks the ocean and mountain views. With all the doors open you feel like you're part of the outdoors. An amazing place to sit and have your coffee in the morning. It's a really peaceful, romantic, private setting but we stayed there with a bunch of friends and it was awesome. The location seems to be a place that cyclists and hikers come to for the view and exercise, and we saw rock climbers further up the hill as well. This place is close to downtown but getting down the hill takes an extra few minutes. Definitely worth it for the location. We didn't even want to leave!
