Privacy and wide open spaces await you at Vista del Valle. The lush vineyards and rich farmlands of the Santa Ynez Valley paint the perfect backdrop for this ranch-style home in the heart of the valley. At the end of the meandering private drive, breathtaking 360 degree views of the valley floor set the stage for a spectacular experience. In this secluded location, hawks soar quietly through the canyons all day long and native wildlife shar...es the land. After dark, with little light intrusion, star gazing guests will be treated to a private celestial display.

Comfortable interiors, great natural light and a real family feel are just the beginning to a memorable stay in this 5 bedroom home. The home was recently re-decorated in an authentic and relaxed western theme with luxurious bedding, historic Santa Ynez artwork, photographs, and colorful Pendleton blankets. All the necessary amenities for an effortless experience are provided.

The Great Room is the heart of the home with numerous picture windows allowing the sunshine to flood the rooms with light. The Living Room area centers around the large fireplace with stone hearth. The pool table and juke box add a touch of fun and whimsy. The wet bar completes this entertainment aspect of this room.

The Family Room also has a fireplace, sectional sofa and flat screen TV. The adjacent breakfast bar is a great place for additional guests to perch, or for kids to enjoy morning cartoons with their Cheerios!

The large Gourmet style Kitchen has plenty of granite counter space, two sinks, and a walk-in pantry outfitted with a variety of small appliances. The open floor plan allows for the cook to stay connected to the Great Room activity and conversations.

The Dining Room is open and inviting. The dining table sits in front of large windows that face the majestic Santa Ynez Mountains, with Figueroa Mountain as the highest visible peak. Save a day for a hike to this scenic and well traveled preserve which offers captivating natural beauty year round, and colorful wildflowers in the spring.

Great features of the Master Bedroom are the French doors that lead to the patio just outside. Stunning views from sunrise to sunset can be enjoyed from this vantage point. The Master Bathroom features a large walk-in shower and soaking tub tucked beneath views of the private side yard.

The second Master Suite has a king-size bed , flat screen TV, and full Bathroom. A nearby exterior door in the hallway offers guests easy access to the driveway and garage. This is an ideal location for guests to have their own access to this wing of the house.

The largest of the guest Bedrooms features 2 queen-size beds. A unique and clever loft space can be accessed by a wall ladder. Once upstairs, guests can relax and watch TV or choose a great book from the library shelves.

Two additional guest Bedrooms share a Jack and Jill Bathroom. Each is well appointed with a queen-size bed, fine linens and French doors leading to each of the private patios just outside. Both quarters offer varying views of shady oaks and the rolling natural landscape outside.

Framed by the large green lawn, the waters of the inviting pool blend seamlessly into the landscape. The shady outdoor loggia is a great spot for an afternoon nap or sunset sip of a smooth local Pinot Noir. A fully equipped outdoor Kitchen offers a gas grill, wine cooler, refrigerator and bar seating to complete the outdoor experience. The round outdoor dining table is poised beside the outdoor gas fireplace for added evening ambiance and warmth.

From this private retreat, shopping and local attractions are still just 10-15 minutes in nearby Solvang and Los Olivos. Guests can treat themselves and dine at gourmet restaurants, shop in unique boutiques or visit local wineries and tasting rooms. Other attractions in the area include glider rides, winery tours, seasonal apple picking, horseback riding, golf and more. If the "surf's up" or the coastal breezes are calling, Santa Barbara is a 45 minute drive away.

$550 Cleaning Fee (14+ night stays require additional cleaning fees)
$3,500 security deposit refundable within 14 days of checkout. Deposit is reduced to $875 with purchase of Damage Waiver.
30+ night stays require extra security deposit, and do not qualify for the damage waiver program.
It is our policy to not rent to groups of adults under the age of 40

  We had searched for months looking for a place where we could hold our meditation retreat and this gorgeous home was perfect. It was so well contained, private, restful and tranquil. The vast, well designed kitchen became the hub of our community sharing and we had no need to go anywhere else.
  The only difficulty we had is the sound system. So many places are now set up to hook up an ipod, we were disappointed that we could not run our music through all the speakers. It seems that only works if you use the TV. As we are thinking of holding our retreat there again next year, for 2 weeks, it would be great if that little problem could be fixed.
  
  While there are little reminders of the owner's tastes, they did not overpower you with their personal style like some places do. Everything was top quality and tastefully decorated and it worked!
  
  What we liked best is the feel of the place, it is one of great harmony and expansion. It held a sense of welcome and the space was perfect for our profoundly relaxing retreat.

  The house is setup beautifully for a group that enjoys a great room and kitchen over-looking a pool and canyon view, food, and wine from the local vineyards and places to keep the kids, if any, entertained. The bedrooms are all quietly tucked away. The property makes you feel remote, but you are actually in the middle of everything you would want to do while in the area.

  Great escape

  We enjoyed this quiet hillside house out in country so much we plan to return again this year. Perfect little get away for 4 or 5 couples looking to cook at the house with full gourmet kitchen or make an easy trek to Los Olivos. View around hill top house is exception. Cows are about the only outside noise you might hear from surrounding valley. Since our group enjoys wine and there are plenty to choose from in this region we decided to return to Vista Del Valle. My only hope in writing this is that we can keep our dates each year without the rate going any higher. : )
