You can have it all!

Love the mountains? Love the beach? Well, you can pretty much have it all in this wonderfully light and airy home, perched on a hilltop above Santa Barbara. Hiking trails are at your front door, yet you are just 4 miles from the beach, a 15 minute drive. Nature surrounds you with 10 beautiful mature oak trees and each window presents a view of the mountains or of the ocean with Santa Cruz Island shimmering in the distance. Take your morning walk in Santa Barbara’s Botanic Garden. Watch the resident red-shouldered hawk as you drink your morning coffee.

This 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths home is truly a retreat.... The owners value comfort and functionality as well as beauty, and it shows in this 2800 square foot house. The owners entertain frequently so the kitchen is well equipped. Who wouldn’t love to cook in this kitchen with a view of the ocean as you work!

The living room and dining room seem to be part of nature with large picture windows bringing outside in and the redwood walls enhancing the tranquility. Furnished with a combination of antiques and contemporary, it is a perfect room to relax or to entertain in.

The dining room opens onto a deck with a gas barbecue and patio furniture so that you can enjoy your meals al fresco on warm days, read a book, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views.

The family room has a wood-burning fireplace, flat screen television with high definition cable and a stereo system as well as a sofa bed for guests. The upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a large walk-in closet with a television as well as a large bathroom. The office is equipped with a computer and wi-fi, a multifunction wireless copier/scanner.

The master bedroom downstairs has its own wood-burning fireplace as well as a large master bath with separate rooms for the shower and the toilet. A large laundry room with washer and dryer completes the downstairs suite. There is even a clothesline for the old fashioned among us.

Though you feel completely free of the hustle and bustle of the city, you can be downtown in 10 minutes or less. Santa Barbara is a city that offers an enormous variety of entertainment from opera to theater to old-fashioned movies and more restaurants than you can imagine.
