Villas Km5 - named for the fact it is precisely five kilometres from the village of Panajachel in case you were wondering how it got its name - is a beautiful recently constructed property nestled high on the mountainside surrounding the lake shores, and offers spectacular views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes from every room. The sunsets behind the perfectly conical-shaped San Pedro Volcano, local Cakchiquel Mayan fishermen fishing along the shore below the property each morning and the steel-hulled taxi boats plowing their routes... in the distance are only a few of the views that characterize this enchanting location.

This 2000 square feet villa is located in the most desirable section of Lake Atitlan. There is convenient and regularly scheduled public transport to the nearby villages of Santa Catarina Palopo and Panajachel, although the five kilometre walk to Panajachel is both scenic and refreshing. Panajachel, or Pana as it is called by many locals, is a town full of interesting sights, sounds, and smells; it has numerous hotels and is full of quality restaurant and interesting nightspots. Guatemala City is a two and half hour car or bus ride away for a great day trip.

Inside, this property was designed to maximize views, light and air from every room, and so you have astonishingly beautiful panoramas of Lake Atitlan from each of the two bedrooms, both with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, en suite bathrooms and hardwood floors. The master bedroom and living room both boast two corner fireplaces, one on the balcony and another situated on the inside corner of each room. The living room, dining room and kitchen offer 20-foot vaulted ceilings, and wall-to-wall sliding glass doors which lead out onto a covered terrace.

The villa comprise of 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with 2 single beds, 2.5 bathrooms, a fully fitted large kitchen, open living and dining area, balconies, washer and drier, Wi-Fi and anything else you can expect to see in a modern home.

Outside, a cosy outdoor living room area completes the package with ample seating room for ten people, complete with fireplace, Jacuzzi and sauna also overlooks the lake and volcanoes.
