La Canada, CABeautiful house, bigger on the inside than the pictures make it
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Some friends and I stayed the weekend at this house in Santa Cruz, and it was really much nicer inside than it looked from the outside--and even in most of the pictures posted on this site. Booking the house was a bit of a hassle due to lack of communication (and some passive-aggressive rudeness) on the side of the manager, but once all our paperwork was in, everything went smoothly with almost no supervision by property management.

The beach house was ideal for our mancation get together with old HS freinds; close to the beach and town. Outside fire heaters didn't work - would have been nice to use these during the evenings so didn't get to fully utilize the large deck area. Overall, I would rent again.

VermontSpacious, open, near-bach house in Santa Cruz

Overall, really nice. My interactions with Kendall and Potter folks was great. Prompt, efficient, helpful and everything was left for me for a late arrival. Appreciate the Tuesday-Monday rental, made all the difference. It was a really important gathering for all of us and being in a house together really mattered. One thought on the info sheet about food stores: Add the Whole Foods market on 41st street.
The house: Very much as advertised = good. But, there was a wet, staannky dishtowel towel left in the washing machine when we got there, had to run the washer through to clean out funk in machine. The mattress in the big bedroom is really worn out, it is a soup bowl. The toilet handle in the upstairs 1/2 bathroom frequently sticks, have to inform all who use it to prevent it from running. This is why there are four, and not five stars above. The house was clean when we got there and we tried hard to keep it that way during our stay. Linens were clean. Loved the open space and location. Great frig. Great washer and dryer. Water pressure in showers was great. I would certainly return. Thanks again, Jonathan Miller-Lane -

San MateoGreat location but home needs better upkeep
Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We love the location of this house and the fact that it is pet friendly. Unfortunately the upkeep had slipped. In addition, there was not enough hot water to use the wonderful spa in the master bath. The folks at Kendall and Potter responded immediately and sent a cordial and capable handyman to solve the hot water problem. My son appreciates the outside warm water shower when he comes up from the beach. We enjoyed our stay, even on the cloudy days.

My friends and I rented the Santa Cruz Beach house for a girls getaway. The house size was perfect for us (8 women). It was fully stocked with cooking utensils, linens, and bedding. The location is great. The house is very close to the beach, the Boardwalk, and Captiola.
Downsides. The oven is very difficult to use. Also there is no garage to store things. We brought our bikes and had to put them in the house. I would also recommned a dining table to be placed in the dining room (stacks of chairs and a table were placed on the side of a wall). The couch in the main living space could use some padding or needs to be replaced. Also the beds were very hard. The aerobeds were the most comfortable beds to sleep in. I still don't believe they should be counted in the sleeps count but that is only my opinion. -

Redwood City, CAA memorable birthday week!

We had a very nice stay. The house was perfect for my family. A short walk to the beach, not that far a drive to the boardwalk. What I liked best was the layout of the house and the location. What I liked the least was the ovens.

Nice place, beds were great, house was very clean and accomodating. Lots of dishes, nice cookware. We noticed the fridge had a hard time getting very cold, and the classic Guggenau oven was complicated to operate. Otherwise, the place was great.

San MateoEnjoyable weekend in a large, roomy, quiet beach house
Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This house has lots of space for sitting and for sleeping. The furnishings are casual and comfortable. It would be a great place for a family reunion. The neighborhood was quiet, with easy access to the beach. The master bedroom could use some kind of dresser or chest of drawers.
