Complete seclusion, peace, and quiet, for 4 ADULTS MAXIMUM, with walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and mirror to reflect the giant redwoods just outside your door. This one-of-a-kind house on an acre overlooking Henry Cowell State Redwood Park is a Frank Lloyd Wright design, featuring a large stone fireplace, Simmons Beautyrest pillow-top mattresses, down pillows (thick comforters in winter), spa robes, hair dryers, TVs in both bedrooms and TV/DVD in living room that also plays CD's. We even have a piano! 4 adults maximum and NO children under 12.

Our home away from home simply says it all!

We absolutely love this home and our vacation time in the peace and quiet of the Santa Cruz mountains. This home is so comfortable, with 2 lovely bedrooms (with great beds) and 2 full bathrooms. The floor to ceiling windows look out onto a large deck over the forest. There are floor to ceiling mirrors in the living room that bring the outdoors in. Tricia has appointed the home beautifully and the refrigerator is supplied with your breakfast needs. Everything you need a home to have for your comfort or cooking experience is in this home, including large towels and robes for enjoying the hot tub under the stars. We will be back soon!

This unique home is a delight! Surrounded by towering redwoods that are reflected by a wall of mirrors, you get the illusion that you're living in the forest. It's cozy and private, yet easily accessible and close to town. Soaking in the hot tub under the redwoods is an experience you'll never forget. The view is stunning.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away for a quiet few days in the woods and we couldn't have asked for a lovelier setting. The house itself was gorgeous, with floor to ceiling windows in the main living space and huge deck overlooking the redwood forest. Every amenity was thought of--including breakfast food. And we certainly put the hot tub and grill to good use. It was the perfect place to spend memorial day weekend. We would absolutely stay again.

While I am sure that this is a wonderful place, we unfortunately never got to experience it! After emailing the owner and asking for the reservation, we were assured that we had the booking. I asked to make the deposit, but she said she would send me the form in a few days - she was out of town. After two days, I emailed her to make sure we had the booking, she reassured me that we had the reservation. Then the next day she wrote to tell me that our dates were already taken! She said she assumed that we had checked the online calendar, or she would not have assured us that we had the reservation. I can assure you - I checked that calendar everyday for a week before emailing her for the booking - I was so afraid that we would lose our dates. It is one thing to lose the honeymoon location of our dreams, but to have it implied that it was our error seems to be a little much. I really wish it had worked out - it looks like a great place and we would have loved it. But beware - do not believe the online calendar, and I hope you will not be as disappointed as we have been.

This house is brilliant from start to finish. It's so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. The owner provides towels/food for breakfast so you don't have to bring or run out to get a lot of stuff. The hot tub is class and it is so peaceful, it's like your miles away from anywhere but there's a supermarket and shops close by. Would definitely stay again.

Absolute perfect getaway, so tranquil you feel like you're miles from civilization but in fact are remarkably close to great amenities. Valley View had everything I needed and more - bath robes, a log to get a fire going in the beautiful stone fireplace, plush towels, great Hot tub to ease away any remaining stresses - starter breakfast fixings are a nice bonus too.
I love the architecture and design, fascinating and genius, totally maximizing the location and views of the Redwoods. It's a challenge to capture it properly in photos, I tried!
The market just down the hill is so convenient and excellent, and though the kitchen is fully equipped and there's an outdoor BBQ, if you don't feel like cooking, the market has lots of tempting fresh, ready to go options - they seem to barbeque outside the store daily, enticing with wonderful aromas!
Santa Cruz is very close by - the Boardwalk is great for fun, but don't miss taking a walk out on the Wharf - listen for the seals and take some steps down to see them lounging on the structure beneath, I also loved the Pelicans at the end of the wharf, very cheeky and greedy! Also nearby many great hiking options, as well as wine-tasting. I took a trip to Monterey (about an hour drive) - just love the Aquarium and walking by the bay there.
Then come 'home' to gaze at the scenery while relaxing in the tub!
Can hardly wait to make a return visit.

Dear Tricia...The hot tub spa soothed away our tired and achy muscles from our road trip. The rain freshened the forest and the smells of honey suckle and pine mixed through the air and invigerated our senses while we soaked! We lounged about in our matching robes and watched the racoons and deer go by the deck at night. The fridge was full of fresh veggies bought from outdoor vendors near montery (You would have thought we lived there)! Chicken and Steak was barbecued to perfection on the deck, and was so yummy! And one can't forget to get fresh picked artichokes either. Also thanks again for the muffins, eggs and juice that were in the fridge for us upon arrival, and we even added fresh asparagus and onions for a delicious omlet!! The beds were very comfortable with bed warmers too. We love the ocean and had breakfast with a great view on the Santa Cruz Wharf and then drove down the 17 mile drive to Carmel...WOW thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us! I am a frequent traveler to ValleyView Inn and very much enjoy the spacious outdoors and privacy from their rooms and from their deck. We go there and do not leave. The deck offers a hot tub, which we use each and every time, even when there has been rain as the setting is so good. Minutes from good groceries; and close to Santa Cruz if you must leave.

Very nice views and large redwood trees. Nice to have a bit of breakfast
fixings in the fridge for the morning. We arrived late at night. No stores
were open. They even gave us half and half for coffee. My wife's favorite.
Very clean, (except the fireplace had some ashes in it but maybe they only
clean it once a month or so?) and the location is great. Lots of redwoods
all around and up on the hill too. Very private and quiet too. Sheets were
nice and a warming mattress pad was a special touch. We went home and
bought one. It had a control for each side so she could be a bit warmer
than me in bed. Wine glasses, blender, toaster oven, lots of dishes, all that
we needed. We certainly will be back. Very nice home!!
