The Aquarius is a two-story home sitting right on the beach with a beautifully landscaped back yard/patio facing the ocean. This home features two decks that face the ocean, one deck with a hot tub, right off the kitchen with the second right off the living room with patio table, chairs and umbrella. This deck has access to the yard/patio with chimenea great for cozy fires in the evening, Adirondack chairs, and Hammock under the pergola. This place was perfect for our beach getaway in Santa Cruz. Beautiful views and comfortable casual accomodations perfect for a family with big or little kids. The only slight problem if you have really little kids (under @ 3 years old) is the stairway which is a narrow spiral staircase that's a little too tricky for a little one to navigate up and down on their own safely. Otherwise we loved loved loved this place and will most definitely be staying there again when we go back to Santa Cruz! Thanks.

We headed to the beach for a winter get away and the location was directly on the beach! You have to drive mostly everywhere if you want the small town Santa Cruz vibe. Closest stores walking distance to the house are big boxdepartment stores... It was expensive for a winter rental rate but very clean. The house needs a lot of care...paint is peeling beds are old etc...

I have been vacationing in Pacific Grove for the past 12 years...decided to try Santa Cruz for lucky number 13...was amazed at the aquarius in every aspect...it was the cleanest rental I have ever walked into. The location is beyond words and the pictures that are included don't do it justice. Even the dolphins cooperated by almost daily swims past the house very close to shore. All my guests who have been at one of the other rentals mentioned remarked that this was a winner...spent a month at a very reasonable rate.

This place is awesome. Right on the beach, plenty of parking, great size living room and kitchen, a couple decks, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, etc... We enjoyed it all. The only bummer was the bedrooms. The downstairs is really a "great room" with a room divider. We would prefer a 3 bedroom place. However, we had a wonderful time and especially appreciated the huge windows outlooking the ocean in the living room. Great place.

Locatiion, location, location! If you are looking for the perfect location on the beach, it is aquarius! It doesn't get much better than this. The view is spectacular. There is always something interesting going on at the beach, and you are right there. The two decks are great. The one with the hot tub is super because you can still see the beach and be warm on a chilly day. The patio area is the best because it is protected from the wind and great for barbequing. The dormitory style downstairs is great for additional family or guests. It is a great treasure on the beach!

The house is better in person than in the photos! There are new couches in the living room. The view was amazing. Two decks and a patio looking out on the ocean. There were dolphins swimming everywhere! Beautiful... A five minute drive to Capitola. Walking on the beach was great too. If you walk north, there are some neat cliffs and coves to explore. There is no sand access straight from the house due to a change in the lagoon, and there is water all year round where there used to be beach access. It is not really a problem, as the owner has a dingy (can seat 5-6) that can take you across (not deep water). The kids as well as the adults got a kick out of it. If you don't want to use the boat, you just have to walk around the corner and a short block to get beach access, maybe 3 or 4 minutes. Again, the view was amazing from the kitchen, living room, the decks and the back yard area!

Very outdated house. master bedroom is okay but the downstairs rooms are musty and not tolerable if your allergy prone. the staircase is dangerous for small kids under 3. Very nice backyard patio and beach views. house stocked with everything you need.

What a great place with a wonderful view! The view is breathtaking and extremely nice to see from the hottub, The patio is great for barbequing and seems to be very sheltered from the wind. I recommend it to all (but not too many because we still want to stay there some!)

We had our best vacation ever at this house! The location is perfect and the house has everything you would find in your own home. It was a pain to have to drive all the way to the rental office on the day we left to drop off the keys instead of being able to leave them at the house, but other than that, it was a perfect stay!

I had a wonderful time. the house was clean and so comfortable. Two suggestions, 1) leave the pantry shelves empty for our food. we did move the things to the laundry room so we could use the pantry. 2) dog beach was a pain..people do not leash their dogs!...other than those 2 things, the week was dreamy!!! just beautiful, the dolphins wre performing! the hot tub was great. the linen service was the best. I want to be there right now. thank you for a wonderful vacation!!

Although I believe the downstairs sleeping arrangements could be more efficiently set up, we all really enjoyed the house and the convenience of being on the beach...great for children. Lots of dogs on the beach...none were on leashes and several times ran across us and/or our towels.The employees at Kendall and Potter could not have been more helpful and friendly!

We rented this great beach house for our 3 adult children and 5 of their friends for a special celebration. There was nothing but mega watt smiles on their faces for 4 days. The aquarius is not a palace but if you want a real beach house that has it all then this is the place.

We arrived and it was everything we anticipated and read about the home. Home has plenty of balcony space and beautiful views. It was my husband and two children and we had lots of extra space. Kitchen is big and stocked with all the right gadgets. My favorite is the downstairs outside area which has plenty of chairs and space to relax and enjoy the beachfront without stepping out on to the sand. This place was close to the places we visited, Monterey Bay, San Francisco and Capitola. Overall this place is awesome and we will be back hopefully next year. Thanks so much.

Our family stayed in this house for Spring break. The process for renting
and receiving the key was really easy.
This home is beautiful and truly is beachfront. We have rented homes that
were advertised as "beachfront" but they were perched on top of a cliff.
The home is bright, airy and roomy. It is really clean too. If you feel like
cooking, this house has everything... silverware, dinnerware, pots and pans
etc. Even a coffee maker. They also had condiments that you can use. The
dining table is large, seats at least 8.
There are plenty of local restaurants and grocery stores just a short car ride
away.
The home has several deck areas outside where you can sit and enjoy the
beach views. We recommend the lower deck area for windy days, it had
really good shelter and very pretty blue chairs to sit on. Also 2 hammocks
and a Mexican chimney.
Our kids loved the Hot Tub. It's quite a treat to sit in a hot tub while looking
at the ocean.
The house has a downstairs level that we used for the kids. They had their
own TV and sitting area, their own bathroom and lots of space. There was
even a piano down there for music lovers. The house has Cable TV and also
has a Mac computer that can be used, and wireless if you bring your laptop.
Since pets are not allowed, we found a boarding place nearby for our dog,
which she loved.
Beach access was easy and it is a dog friendly beach.
We got to the house in the middle of a rainstorm, but because the house
was so nice and comfortable we hardly noticed.
This house felt like home. We will definitely stay here again. We have
already checked for availability in the summertime. It was the nicest
vacation home we have ever stayed in.
There are numbers provided if you have any issues. Needless to say, we
didn't have to call anyone.
We would definitely recommend this house to anybody looking for a fun
time at the beach.
There are lots of things to do in Santa Cruz so you can stay really busy. Or
you can relax and enjoy the beach and house -

The service from the owner and the property managers was great. They really
were there to help with anything. The home was fantastic! A great view of the
ocean from the living room picture frame window to the kitchen/dining rm to
the hot tub. And just a few steps to the beach. It was raining when we were
there but we didn't care. We do wish it had a fireplace. We will be back! -

I like this house. Big open kitchen, well stocked. Great view. Loved
hanging out in the kitchen while some of us cooked and others sat
around and ate. Great master bedroom, lots of bunk beds downstairs.
Only draw backs were the hot tub didn't get hot, and the lower level
