Temecula, CA.A delightful place to stay for us and our canine companions
Left on 11/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Steve and Mari are the most gracious hosts. They have thought of everything when it comes to extras - down to the tooth brushs and the cotton balls! The accomodations are comfortable and quite attractive. Our dogs were treated like queens! Thank you, Mari, for watching Tazz for us. The tv was fantastic for watching the baseball playoffs! And how we appreciated the state park pass!!! We would love to come back again.

My husband and I and our 2 puppies stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Steve and Mari must've put themselves in their guests' places and imagined what they would like in a cottage, because everything had been so well thought out. There were extra blankets, pillows, throws, and every amenity you could imagine in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We had a cozy time watching the Giants win the NL West while listening to rain on the skylights in the vaulted ceiling.
We anticipated some highway noise because the cottage is close to 17, but it is surrounded by redwoods and totally quiet. Steve and Mari were available whenever we needed them, (thank you, Steve, for your endless patience with our TV ineptitude!) and they were very gracious at every turn.
We absolutely loved staying in the clean, puppy friendly cottage and highly recommend it. -

Our family stayed at Scott's Guest House in June 2012. Our hostess was very friendly and provided everything we needed. The guest house was beautifully decorated and spacious for our family of four. They had a wonderful hot tub and hammock in the yard surrounded by trees which our kids especially enjoyed. We liked coming there after a busy day at the Santa Cruz boardwalk to relax. The location was also close to a nearby Redwood State Park that we visited. We highly recommend this vacation home and hope to return again!

My boyfriend, our pom, and I decided to stay at Scott's Guest House over the course of 4 days for spring break, and we had a great time. The location is convenient, right off the freeway, but you can't hear anything but the birds and the creek that runs in front of the cottage. It was also conveniently located so that we could do a day trip out to Monterey and back with ease.
he cottage itself was quaint and comfortable, just as though we were back home. The bed was soft, the sheets and towels were fluffy and clean, the pullout futon couch was large enough for both of us to lay out on while watching a movie on the huge flatscreen tv, and the little kitchenette that was tucked into what looks like a former closet included a sink with running water and even a working stove. It was the cutest thing ever! They had all kinds of supplies, everything from kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, the works. The mini fridge even had complimentary sodas and water. They also had pet bedding and dishes for our pom, so I was regretting having to lug all her supplies with us since I packed a bag just for her. All in a nicely secluded wooded setting. With our own access to a private hot tub. I could go on and on just about the cottage...
Steve and Mari were such sweet hosts. They were outgoing and friendly, and they had some good suggestions on where to eat and local places to visit. And they were so easy to talk to! It was like talking to family. Mari was also nice enough to provide laundry services for us when our pom got a little too excited to see her and tinkled on our clothes! I can tell they take pride in what they do and how they take care of their property. They and their cottage made our stay in Santa Cruz relaxing and enjoyable, and I hope we get the chance to visit them again. Thanks again, Steve and Mari!

I was taken back by the wonderful service that I received at Scott's Guest House. I was there for a family wedding, the only disappointing thing about the entire trip, is the fact that I could not stay longer. Scott's Guest House was centrally located and very accessible to the freeway. It is nestled in a beautiful wooded location, and has a gorgeous view. The room is very cozy, and the bed is extremely comfortable. Moreover, you can have your pets with you! It would have been a challenge to take my dogs with me, and leave them in the car. My dogs are very friendly so, Steve and Mari were kind enough to take care of my dogs, while I was gone. When I came to pick them up, they were very happy. I loved staying at this home, and I can't wait to visit again!! I highly recommend this home, as the stay was an absolute delight!

Live Oak, CAGreat place to stay!!

Everything about this vacation rental was well-planned out and added to a great stay. The queen, memory-foam bed felt like it was a king and gave us a really good night's sleep. We enjoyed the hot tub, cooking all our meals in, watching a large flat-screen TV with dish, using the complementary high-speed wireless intenet, and exploring through their information on where to dine out and what to do in the area. The owners are warm and caring people who have worked very hard to think of every litle thing to make their guests enjoy their stay!

The owners are super thoughtful and you can tell enjoy being the hosts. They also offer therapeutic massage therapy for a good price. The place is comfortable- with a queen size bed and a futon pull out.
They have thought of everything, such as kitchen and bathroom amenities. Great 50 inch TV with Direct TV. There are literally about 15 hummingbird feeders and never have I been able to see these little creatures up close until now.
They stopped by the next day to make sure everything was to our liking and asked if we needed anything, so they are super accommodating. They are dog friendly and I recommend this place highly to small families and people with dogs.
